| not all...just some of them...I think it's wanna be drama students. I've been working with a drama student, also a cancer survivor, who is overly helpful. And the male actor has a heart of gold, because you never know where your big break is going to be. I like those kinds of people. I like the community that I've found myself in. It's the kind I should have been in right away during high school, and beyond, instead of pretending to care about the business world. I've been a performer all my life, well, since I was 3. I was singing in church at 3 and dancing since I was 4.
I'm still teetering though, depending on how well I do in the class. If I do well, I think I'm going to pursue tv/film production-preferably editing. I still enjoy it and look forward to editing my projects. I will have people to talk to, especially since I am concerned about my age.
We'll see. | |

| All the drama students I met in high school and college were all drama queens. I suppose I was one, too, but I'm a musician, not an actor. | |

| I was a drama major in college and yes, there were probably divas, but it didn't show, as all behaved with respect and dignity for our craft.
I feel bad for you, Alice, as obviously this actress doesn't. She's lucky to still have the lead.

| I fell last night. There was a slick spot on the floor (probably a spilled drink or something) and my heel went out from under me. Thank goodness I didn't show all my business (I had a short skirt on), but I did kinda pull my back when I grabbed the railing to catch myself. | |

Andrew Lloyd Webber in hospital Theater icon diagnosed with prostate cancer By ASSOCIATED PRESS
Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his spokeswoman said Sunday. The 61-year-old Lloyd Webber's condition is in its early stages, a statement from his publicists said. "Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year," the statement said.
Lloyd Webber recently announced plans for a sequel to his phenomenally successful musical "Phantom of the Opera." Called "Love Never Dies," it is scheduled to open in London in March and follow on Broadway in November. Rehearsals begin in the new year.
At a media event for the new musical earlier this month, Lloyd Webber said that while the story picks up where "Phantom" left off, he doesn't regard it as a sequel - "it's a standalone piece."
But Lloyd Webber said he was inspired to write the musical because "there's unfinished business."
In "Love Never Dies," the Phantom leaves Paris for Coney Island at the turn of the century, which Lloyd Webber said was like Las Vegas "and then triple it."
Producers say the original "Phantom" - a fixture of the London and New York stages - has been seen by more than 100 million people around the world. In September, it became the longest-running show in Broadway history, brushing aside Lloyd Webber's "Cats."
Lloyd Webber's other musical hits have included "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "Evita." He owns several theaters in London's famous West End.
According to his Web site, Lloyd Webber has won seven Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. In 2006, he was awarded the Kennedy Center Honor.
Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992 and named to Britain's House of Lords in 1997.

| I've realized my new dog Hamlet is not as housebroken as I thought....grrrrr....
I haven't been crate training him (what everyone recommends) because I thought he didn't need it. Now I've started doing that. Anybody have any other suggestions?

| Oh dear! So there are lots of little oopsies everywhere, Emily?
I would be making an immediate booking at Puppy preschool for some obedience classes if I were you. In fact, I know I will be doing the exact same thing myself next year.
Another suggestion might be to have a shirt/sweater with your scent in Hamlet's sleep space/crate so that he thinks he is still near you.
A ticking clock is another one for small puppies so that, if they are used to a litter or Mummy's heartbeat, they then think others are still around.

| Speaking about little oopsies! Here I am, a studied veterinarian and my dog has diarrhea for two days now and my brilliant medication and diet-scheme for him isn't working at all!
@LadyNOLA: is your dog a puppy or is he already an adult? My dog is an adult with zero to none hometraining. He is now sleeping in a box when I'm not at home (he is allowed to come to work with me, so he isn't alone very often), because he doesn't pee on the place where he is sleeping. He had three 'special' places which he used as a toilet in my appartment and the dog trainer advised me to sit on his special places (when they are cleaned up, on the floor) and read a book for example with him beside me, so he realizes that those places are home too and must not be peed on! Everytime I walk him and he does everything he should do outside, I'm telling him how great he is (I'm making a clown of myself and other people might think I'm crazy but hey it works) and reward him with sth. special (he loves bacon). I'm working with him on this for three month now and he is doing really well already. I think a puppy is able to learn even faster than my second hand dog! I think obedience classes would be a good idea, too. They strengthen the bond between you and your dog and who doesn't want a well educated dog? We (my dog Cheech and I) are also taking classes.
Oh I just realized that crate-training means, he will be in a box right?

| The crate trainings I've seen the dogs are in enclosed metal cages just big enough for them, with beddings etc. Too bad you can't train children that way. When people see you talking to your dog, they think you're a crazy dog lover. If they can't see your dog, then they think you're crazy. | |

| I'm sorry, I'm just now seeing all y'all's responses to my problem. Thank you all for your suggestions. Hamlet is doing better now. He hardly ever has an accident anymore. Julia, he's a year old. And LJ is right about the crate. It's a metal cage that has crisscross metal strips so he can get plenty of air and see out on all sides. It is big enough for him to move around in, but small enough that he hopefully won't use one corner for a bathroom and the other corner to sleep. I leave the door to the crate open most of the time, and he goes in there and sleeps on his sheets. It's his little space. I really only shut the door now at night, so he doesn't get up and pee somewhere while I'm sleeping.
He's doing pretty good now. I've put a gate up that prevents him from going to the basement because he was going down there to poop. I also keep doors shut that I'm not in. We'll see if it continues to go okay...

Has anyone noticed that the past few months, about all the "news" we've had to post on this forum consists of about 95% PR and tabloid crap, and the other 5% has to do with actual projects?
I feel like I'm running a forum for Paris Hilton or the Kardashians.
