| hmmm...maybe he got them AT the groomers....you should check your other cats. If he had fleas in your home, odds are they would too. If they don't then the groomers is the only place he could have gotten them. I hate sending my animals to the vet because they always come back with fleas... | |

| It's weird, because I checked my other cat and she doesn't have fleas. Who knows, maybe he did get them at the groomer. He was only there about four hours, though. I took him to the vet in October, but that was two months ago. The groomer said he had quite a few, but he hadn't had them very long because there was no flea dirt on him.
My parents brought their dog over for Thanksgiving, but she had just gotten groomed and didn't have fleas. Could it be possible someone brought them in with them from their house? I brought the Christmas tree in from the shed a few weeks back when I decorated the house, but I doubt fleas would just be hanging around the inside of my shed.
The other thought I had was the stray, but I quit feeding her some time ago and she doesn't come around anymore. There are other strays that roam the neighborhood, but I've never let any of them in the house and, besides, it has been freezing outside. I doubt any bugs would have survived out there.
It's weird.... | |

| Maybe your cat is hanging with some shady characters? Some flea-spreading harlots?
I need sleep, lots and quickly.

| Oh, for godsakes! I am just NOW coming back into the Pantry after being unable to access it for twenty four hours. Due to some bizarre circumstances, I was not able to access the Pantry after getting kicked off Bravenet. In the middle of an intense conversation, mind you. Grrrr! Ladies....I am never accessing that black hole again. As much as it drags, I am ONLY going into regular chat. I was going thru serious withdrawls. Oh....and I was able to access all my other stomping grounds. Just not here....until now. *cue Twighlight Zone theme* | |

| My furnace has been running for AT LEAST 3+ hours. I say at least, because it was running when I got home. I had the thermostat set on 71F when I went to work, and when I got home I cranked it up. In the 3+ hours since I did that, the temperature has gone up a measly ONE DEGREE in my house, because my furnace can't keep up with the drop in temperature outside. Tomorrow the wind chill is supposed to be -20F.
I'm cold. My house is cold. My cats are cold. Brrrrrrrrrrr.... Fat people aren't supposed to get cold. WTH???

| Well, it wasn't just the temperature....it was also my furnace. I figured that out when I woke up this morning to 60F temperatures in my house. The repairman is here now, and says I have a bad heat sequencer relay. Bottom line: $165.13. | |

| That sucks Donna. The cold is curling my toes. I have been wearing 3 layers of clothes to both jobs and can't get warm at all. We have been lucky to not be as cold as everywhere else but the snow won't stop. Our cold day is tomorrow - schools probably closing as windchill makes it feel like -35. | |

| It's bone chilling, Oggs. After I got my furnace worked on, I went back to work...from a cold house, to a cold car, to a cold workplace. My desk is by the door, and of all days for the maintenance man to have to work on a broken door all damn afternoon. Even the space heater wasn't helping.
I'm keeping an eye on my furnace here at home, too. Because when I walked in, though the thermostat said it was 75F, the vents were blowing out COLD air...again. Once I kicked it up to 77F, it started blowing hot air, so maybe it had just kicked on. But all I know is, if they didn't fix it right they're getting their ever-lovin' arses back over here PRONTO! These are the same people that fixed my A/C about a year and a half ago, and I had to call them back out two more times to get it fixed right. I was NOT a happy camper. So why did I call them again, you ask? Glutton for punishment, I guess...and desperation.

| The furnace is not fixed. It blows out hot air, but instead of kicking off when the intended temperature is reached, the fan just keeps blowing and then you get this shot of cold air through your vents. At this rate, it's going to blow my entire furnace motor out.
I figured this out when I was ready to leave for work, so ONCE AGAIN I'm having to stay home and wait for the repairman. The guy said "it would be better to come in the afternoon", but I was like "um, NO...I have to go to work afterwards, so you will come out this morning". I'm not the one who didn't get it fixed right!
And then when I called in to work, I found out that our heat is out there as well. So I may not go in at all. I'm going to be SICK if I keep having to sit in places with no heat. Homey ain't playin' dat!
