They've been on and off again multiple times since they first got together two and a half years ago.
But it seems Gerard Butler just can't stay away from his ex Morgan Brown after the pair were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll along the beach in Malibu, California, on Monday.
The actor, 47, went shirtless as he wrapped an arm protectively around the pretty brunette, less than a month after they reportedly parted ways once again.

According to a report by The Sun in late August, the star 'told his friends he just couldn’t commit' to his on-off girlfriend of two-and-a-half years.
Walking along the shoreline, the London Has Fallen star kept his arm wrapped around his leading lady's shoulders, while she placed an arm around the hunky actor's waist
Clearly enjoying a quiet day at the beach together, Gerard wore only a pair of navy blue board shorts.
His hair was wet from an earlier swim in the ocean, and he kept the Californian sun at bay with a pair of dark shades.

The Scottish-born actor's companion stayed covered up in a white sarong, which she had wrapped around her shoulders.
She also wore a black baseball cap with yellow text pulled low over her face.
The sighting comes just days after the renowned ladies' man was spotted out with another woman.
Gerard and Morgan first split earlier this year, but reunited shortly afterwards before once again calling it quits in August.
'He thought Morgan might have been the right person at the right time but it wasn’t to be,' reported The Sun. 'They both saw it would be best if they moved on.
'He’s told his friends he just couldn’t commit. Gerry loves Morgan but it wasn’t working.'

Gerard and Morgan have been dating on and off since 2014 and were said to be broken up for good in 2016 before they were seen getting cosy on the beach in Tulum, Mexico in July.
During their most recent split Morgan, an interior designer and former model, was spotted out on a coffee date with actor Liev Schreiber in May.
However, she sparked reconciliation rumours when she was spotted jetting into Baltimore, Maryland with Gerard on June 15, a little over a month after her coffee date with Liev.
Previously the couple's split was blamed on attention from other women, according to Page Six.
A source told the publication: 'Girls throw themselves at him. It's hard for him to constantly say, "No. Get away from me. I have a girlfriend."'
Gerard and Morgan started dating in May 2014 following his split from Romanian model Madalina Ghenea, 27, the previous year.
