| I had one night of that. I stupidly left my window open a crack when I left for work....came home during an arctic blast to find I couldn't shut my window because the ice had sealed it stuck. So I put a towel in the fissure and wrapped myself in a blanket. It was wierd to see frost on the INSIDE. I was miserable. So, I cannot imagine days of that. You have my sincere sympathies. | |

| Thanks! The guy left a little while ago, and the part he installed yesterday was faulty. So everything's good to go now. Oh, and I've just consumed almost an entire day's worth of calories in one meal. I hate having PMS. It sure was good, though....lots of meat and starch. | |

| Oh look, ANOTHER winter storm.
Stupid snow. Stupid sleet. Stupid ice. Stupid cold. Stupid people not plowing my street when they should be. Stupid rear wheel drive car. Stupid Midwestern Winter.
I want to move to the Sahara. Well, maybe not. I don't like scorpions and big spiders and big poisonous snakes. And I'm not sure I want a pet camel who spits and farts all the time.
Maybe I'll just move to Mexico. Or maybe the Bahamas. Or Jamaica. Or I could marry a rich old dude so I won't have to work. I could just lie in bed all day when the weather is bad, wearing footie pajamas and eating stinky chips all day.

| Okay, I don't expect this to be of interest to anyone but me, and it may be TMI, but I just need to rant about today. I am suffering from the effects of both a bad reaction to my diet pill that I take (don't worry, it's doctor prescribed) combined with my monthly visit from Aunt Rose (some know her by her other name, Aunt Flo). I am jittery and wired, and I didn't get much sleep last night, and I'm in a smart a$$ kinda mood. I think I need to go exercise and burn some energy..... This is me: This is me too: | |

| I have dealth with side effects from different meds, including diet pills. Bouncing off the walls, overly emotional, would feel better if you could beat someone up, would kill just to get a good night sleep, gets the urge to run up and down the street nekked...... the list goes on and on, so I feel for you. Just be careful while taking those diet pills, and let your doctor know of the side effect, especial if your heart starts racing a mile a minute. Are you on a certain eatting plan or exercise program? I want to buy either the Tony Hortons "10 Minute Trainer", or the "P90X". The only problem is that I don't have enough faith in myself that I would be able to do the programs. They are very intimiating to me. | |

I have that urge right now. Except it's extremely cold outside, and it's still snowing. It probably wouldn't be a good idea, health wise....especially given the fact that if I ran nekkid anywhere, I'd probably give myself two black eyes...much less running nekkid through the frozen Missouri tundra.

The only problem is that I don't have enough faith in myself that I would be able to do the programs. They are very intimiating to me. Yes, I do the Weight Watchers Points System. (I don't go to the meetings. I'm using my point book and point calculator leftover from when I was a member. So, I don't think what I'm doing is their current program.) I also take an appetite suppressant and that over-the-counter drug Alli. Also, I do a treadmill for cardio and then some strength training. All this seems to be the right combination for me. I have lost quite a bit of weight. Today was just an off day. Usually, the appetite suppressant doesn't have this effect on me. I don't know the two programs you mentioned, but I can understand that a new program might be intimidating. Only you know your unique needs and strengths and limitations. Do they have a money back guarantee or return policy on either of them? Maybe you could just try one or both of them out to see.

| Wax is best cleaned (and quite easily) by using brown paper or paper towel and an iron. Heat the iron and put the paper over the wax. The heat will melt it instantly and the paper will soak it up. | |

| Thanks Nay. I got most of it up by scraping it off and then using a hair dryer to heat the wax and then scrubbing it up. It was also all over my stove and appliances. Fortunately for the stove, I simply turned on the oven and got it hot enough to just wipe it down. Cleaning the coffee maker was a different story. On a brighter note, I needed to scrub that stuff down anyway. I think that's the cleanest my stovetop has been for a while. I'm surprised no one asked what I was doing with candlewax. Nothing kinky, I assure you. I had one of those jar candles and mom gave me a candle warmer for Christmas, so I was trying it out. When I saw that only the bottom portion of the wax was melted, I got the not so bright idea to try to "push" the hot wax to the top of the candle with a fork. When I did, it splattered all over the danged place! | |

| I don't believe this. My flipping furnace is out AGAIN! I just called them and they're going to send someone out this afternoon. It's 25F outside, and the temps will be dropping to about 17F, and the sun is going down soon. My house is dropping RAPIDLY in temperature. I've already taken four of the five personal days I have for the entire year, and it isn't even February...and now this. I swear, I just want to cry. | |

| Be careful with the heat being out. We just had an elderly gentleman here in Michigan die, because the electric company had turned off his power. There is an uproar here because it hasn't been above 20 degrees but 1 day in the last 3 weeks and they are worried that more will die. Bullshit. | |

| I read that story Oggs, and I even blogged about it. It infuriated me! Yeah, he fixed the furnace. It was a fuse, so it's heating again. He does have to come back out on the weekend though, because there's another part that needs replacing. End result: I'm getting heat, but I'm going to be out even more money before it's all finished, because this is a totally unrelated problem than the last part that went out. | |

| Today, a 36 year old Melbourne man was charged with murdering his four year old daughter by throwing her over an eight storey bridge. He stopped his car on the bridge (in front of witnesses), took her out, threw her into the water and drove away with his two and seven year old sons inside. She died on the scene of massive internal injuries.
What type of mongrel would do this? This is my little niece's age.

| Leo, it's all over the news today. Not only because the mongrel is too emotionally unstable to be assessed psychologically but because it was meant to be her first day at school.
I think this story will stay with me for a while.

| OMG, that's horrible. So he killed the girl and not the two boys? That sounds suspicious in itself.
The man does not deserve to live. At least the little girl is in heaven and isn't suffering. Can you imagine what the two little boys must be going through???
