PostSubject: Re: The Ranting Thread   The Ranting Thread - Page 13 Icon_minitimeThu Jan 29, 2009 10:44 pm

Nothing in particular, I'm just sick and tired of these men "pretending" they want to get to know me, and they leave me these messages..."hi", "how ya doin'", etc. What, do they think they're the only ones who leave these messages? I get them all the time on MySpace, etc. It's nothing but a flipping booty call.

So I have this hot guy who sends me these nice messages, so I start talking to him...then I go to leave a message on his profile, only to find out I've not been added by him as a "friend". I would think that if he really wanted to get to know me, he'd at least try to 'friend' me first. He has other friends on his page (female)...so why not me? Is it because I'm "local", and by proxy easier to de-trouser???

Maybe I'm reading more into it...but still, it irks me. I put something on my blog tonight...something to the effect of that if you don't try to get to know me first as a friend, then don't be expecting a response to a private message. I'm sick of it.

It's the nature of the beast, DK. Unfortunately. (or fortunately, lol).

Any time a guy can score, he will. Remember....we're "innies"...they are definitely "OUTIES"....if ya get my drift.

But yeah, it's nice to have a guy to pal around with, too.

In my experience, my male friends have all eventually made a pass at me....even the gay ones. Go figure.

That's totally understandable Donna to be irritated and I read your blog and think you put it VERY well!

You shoulda seen the doozy I got on MySpace today...even though my page says I'm happily married with two children. But it just made me roll my eyes and crack up...

I thought so cuz you are mine! ILY DK!!!!
Now onto the rant I have. I'm getting ready for the cruise right, and I exfoliated real good and I apply some tan lotion, I followed all the rules and it not only streaked, but it puddled where i took extra caution(feet) and had bare spots! Jergens bites! Now I have to erase (owie) and reapply using spray-on Loreal. If that doesn't turn out right I give up. After a third "erasing" I'll have plenty of color--red at first, then on to a brownish color as it scabs, and by the time we get back I should
qualify as a double for the rock dude from Fantastic 4- The Ranting Thread - Page 13 816175 cosmetic companies should get reamed every time us suckers thinks, "this ought to work, cus it cost more." Well off I go to erase and pray it does work with this new stuff. Wish me luck!!! geek

Yes, good luck beguild! I'm one of those people that just can not tan no matter what I do (I blame the irish/scottish in me lol) so I have to resort to those lotions...and they can be SUCH a pain!

Here's hoping the next round goes better for you!

I'm glad to hear that, Alice. Very Happy Are you going to be getting settled anywhere permanently soon?

The guy thing I'm really not mad about, it was just something I needed to get off my chest (no pun intended). My real rant is all this money I'm having to fork out to get my furnace fixed. It's working now, but I have another part he needs to replace which is going to run me another $238. He was supposed to be here today, but they called and asked if they can postpone the work until next Saturday. That's fine, I'd really prefer it since my payday is next Thursday, but still...this will make four times out.

That, and there's the whole situation with my job...I know there are people that have it much worse, but it's still getting on my nerves.

We spent the past few days looking at places but no luck, yet. I do hate it when you already know what the end result is, but you have to wait for everyone else to catch up...hmmm...sounds like I'm quoting some fallen angel.

Donna, this is so ridiculous about your furnace! Can't they get it fixed right? What the hell?

Beguild, that's the one part that totally sucks huh? No ability to tan! That and my face always turns red when I drink....grrrrr....lol

Alice, good luck to you. I really hope you find a place and are settled soon!

Well I hope this is the last time they have to come out here.... Rolling Eyes

On another note, I'm thankful that the weather has been in the mid 50F range today, which means a lot of the snow is melting. The bad part about it is, the parts that aren't are now WET SLUSHY ice. While heading out to the mailbox just now, I lost my footing and fell, hurting my right arm and shoulder. That, and I was wearing my PJ's and now my right pants leg is wet.

COME ON, SPRING!!! Mad

As if losing one's job in the midst of a horrible economy isn't enough....

All of the sudden, I'm getting all of these Nigerian scam emails. Yes, please cheat the unemployed worker out of what's left of his money and dignity. Way to go!

I really want to hang these people upside down by their toes.

I feel for Obama, for he now owns the hotttest seat on th planet and all the messy crap left under it. I don't want to get political so now I stop. just when I thought winter might be waning, we get forecasted for more snow. Just what my decrepid bones need-OY!

I have been to a mass co-celebrated by this priest at this church. Whilst a little unusual, it was a very vibrant, evangelical and supportive congregation. The homeless, who assemble outside, were all encouraged to join us. It was truly a matter of sitting next to 'Christ'. Many will be devastated by this news.

Why would anyone try to scam a person who has already been laid off from their job, in order to line their own pockets with money???

That's sick.

F/ck It. I cannot abide ignorant, stupid, moronic people sucking up good oxygen on this planet.
Some peeple show no common courtesy for the work of others. Let them walk a mile in your shoes and then they can tell you it wasn't good enough.
If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. Isn't that written in blood someone? If not, it f/cking should be.
