| It's only Thursday.
It's been dark and stormy "looking" here. Very little rain. Heap big winds. Where's my rain?
I hear there's a Marmite shortage in New Zealand because the factory was damaged in an earthquake. Opened and used bottles (not empty) are being auctioned for thousands of dollars.

| Your rain is here, Julie.
Random: It's Friday....if I can just get through 8 hours of work....
I need to buy Prilosec, a brake light and cat treats. Which means a trip to Wal-Mart today. Blech.

| Only dumb people would buy Marmite when Vegemite is available, Julie. It's Britain's version of our black ambrosia. The Kiwis only have to dial us up or take a cheap flight over the Tasman and hey presto ... Marmageddon indeed!
What the heck is Prilosec, Donna? Is it for that rash that won't go away?
Random:
Thank God for the end of the Toulouse tragedy. I just hope that the French proceed now with caution and compassion, not fear and vengeance. The actions of one should not mean the reactions of many.
Time for me to do my civic duty and go vote in our State elections.

It can certainly get hot and humid here, that's for sure. But it has been known to get bitterly cold sometimes during the winter (not enough for snow, but still). It's been an unusually warm winter for other parts of the country too, I take it. To answer your question, Nay, my favorite season is Autumn also. It's the beginning of the holiday season kicking off with Halloween, then my birthday (yes, I'm lumping that in as a holiday ), then Thanksgiving, then into the Christmas season. It's cool air and gorgeous leaves changing color. It's darker earlier, and you just want to snuggle up with a bowl full of chili. Love the pictures of the "boys", Nay. You're right. Bud's expression is priceless! I noticed you didn't comment about whether or not you are happy about the way Australia's election turned out....You just gave us the facts. - Sharabella wrote:

Yeah, some candidates are just too darned cute to not get elected, regardless of their parties. Seriously, they're all money-grubbing power-hungry lying cheating thieving sh!t-spewing a$$holes. That's why there will never be true equality or justice or peace. One of our major parties sent me a "census" of our local area. The instructions said to fill it out and send it back WITH A GENEROUS DONATION OF $25 OR MORE. Yah, it's a fundraiser. I trashed it.

| Prilosec is for acid reflux disease (aka chronic heartburn). If I don't get my meds, I are a miserable woman.
Random: they said this was the pick day of the weekend, and it's all cloudy outside. I guess I'll need to mow anyway.
The Walking Dead doesn't return until this Fall. I guess it's time to move on to Mad Men and The Killing.

| Hi to all! I just joined and figured the something random post was the best place to start! I live in Denver Colorado, obviously love Gerry and his movies. I write, I paint, and am in the process of working on a novel, and am trying to start a jewelry business. So hello! And I hope to get to know everybody. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday! | |

| Hello Dani!! We're happy to have you here! We're not exactly the dark side, but we have cookies. Random: I mowed my lawn and now my allergies are acting up. I don't know how in the world people actually enjoy doing yardwork. | |

| Hi, Dani!! That's really neat that you like to write. I've been keeping journals and notes with ideas because that is something I've wanted to get into for a long time. I also have two cousins in Denver, BTW. Welcome! I'm so glad you jumped right in to our little Pantry Pool. Donna, where are said cookies......? | |

| I suspect guys like yardwork because they can't hear their women nagging and yapping. I think gals who say they like yardwork don't know how to delegate. Dang, it's almost Easter again. More family time. | |

| My yard work was taken care of yesterday. One guy drove the big mower and the other one did the weed eating. It took less than an hour and cost me more than I could really afford. It was worth every penny. | |

| Amazing what proper use of proper powerful equipment can do.
I actually like using the weed eater. I can kill everything in my path. Die! Die! Die! The only annoying part is running out of line. Hubby is in charge of the of the outside. If it were up to me I'd either have rock and sand gardens or astroturf.
I liked when we lived in an apartment and someone else was in charge of the outside and it was always nice.

| Random:I have the song Breathless by The Corrs stuck in my head. It was on my Sirius radio today. Everytime I hear that song, it gets me a bit flustered and happy. Haha! I associate that song with a fan video of Gerry someone made years ago. I was still in the "honeymoon phase" of this fandom. Anyway, hearing that song brings me back to that time. It's funny how both songs and smells can instantly activate your memory, and you have a reaction to them like you've been transported to that time. Our senses really are amazing things.

| Emily, to dob someone in means you have informed on them or revealed their hand. We also use the term dib-dob-dibber for the person doing it. We have strange ways.
Random:
A local timber business is closing up due to a marriage split and therefore had a clearance auction this morning (Saturday). I have become very fond of wood and all things timber and long admired large chunky rough-hewn outdoor settings.
Today, I was very brave and bid on one. GOT IT! Mine looks something like this one. Next I will buy six to eight timber mismatched, secondhand chairs and set up my new outdoor entertaining area.
Here is one similar on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RED-MAHOGANY-Hardwood-timber-slab-dining-table-outdoor-table-NEW-6-seater-/220984622842?pt=AU_Dining_Kitchen_Furniture&hash=item3373b5befa

| LOVE IT!!!! It's going to look in great in your lovely garden.
Random:
I have just been drug, kicking and screaming, in to the 21th century. I've given in at long last and am the proud and scared owner of a "smart" phone, and it's attendant two year contract. I resisted as long as I could, but I got tired of being the only one around without a world in my back pocket. It's a Verizon Stratosphere and I'm gonna be really cool------- if I can figure out how to use the darn thing.
