DK, have you found the forum's Christmas theme yet????
Yes and no. I found parts of it.
I can't get the GIF to animate any more. I wonder if the forum hosts disabled it....

My avatar is an animated gif and it looks to be working fine.
Again, I'm so not ready for Christmas.

Shar, you were a real member the first time you posted.
DK, that black cat just purrs and swats air when I hover over it. Is there any chance for a dog widget?

Life can be awfully ironic. With high humidity for the past few weeks, people have been wishing for rain to break the temps and water the gardens/lawns. Well, we have our wish because three days ago, the heavens opened up and drizzle through to heavy falls started.
Now ... I wish it would stop. It's not that I'm ungrateful, God. I'm just going stir crazy. I need to be outside!

Go outside in your swimsuit, with soap and shampoo. Shower with free water. Take a bucket and window scrubs, too. And wash your car (if you have one) while it's pouring. Get some cisterns and save the water. Lay down a long tarp or slip & slide and slide.

I don't complain about rain. I complain about no rain. Without rain the ground under your house also dries out and makes your house sink and crack. Very expensive.
Why do animals have to poop, puke, get parasites, and shed?

It's more expensive to live through floods as we have this year in Queensland. We certainly don't want another Christmas/New Year like the last one.
Random Trivial Facts:
Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.
Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

That's because the right-handed people killed the left-handed people for being different.

Guess who has to restring the lights on the Christmas tree because half of one of the sets went out.... *points to self*

The entire half went out? Or just the one leading bulb for that half? If it's the leading bulb you can just replace that one bulb.

Yep, it was usually the first or last bulb that's out.

Half of it went out, yes. Tried replacing the bulb...no success.
Had to redecorate the tree due to having to restring the lights. Light is still purply, but now has other colors in addition to the purple.

My latest purchase and planting is a Lamarque white climbing rose. When my new red one (Red Pierre) arrives and they both grow over the as yet unfinished arbour, the look will be spectacular.

We're off to the beach now for a late afternoon romp in the puddles.
