Nay, wow, you HAVE been working your *** off. I love that decorative steel in the windows. And may I ask, is that yellow "vehicle" the center "shrub" you picked out for your front garden?

It is addictive, Nay. I love the long room/hall with the windows. I know you posted a pic before, but it's so inviting and looks spacious.
The verandah is currently my favourite place. With the 12 side windows (casements with green glass) open and the 8 large hoppers windows too, you get a breeze at floor level all the way through the house.

K, Queensland has had some high temperatures lately - we alone have ventured into summer with 30+ degrees celsius days for a while now. By New Year, it will be higher. Still want to come? BTW, that guy wasn't a popsicle - he was a frozen turd.

My rear end and hamstrings have been getting a major workout, PJ. All that bloody bending down. God didn't make me for laborious work! And no smart mouth, the centre piece for one side is my red rose bush and the other is a toss up between a red callistemon, camellia or olive tree. Which would you choose?

Damn it, Julie! That has already been proven with the 'saving' of several small baby green frogs in the past week. I swear my heart almost leaps out of my chest.

Random:
I love the look of a freshly mowed lawn. Everything seems so tidy and inviting.
It makes me feel like a lawn party. Candles in jars, jazz music softly playing, white linen tablecloth, cicadas chirping, good wine and great company. Anyone interested?

Nay, metal mesh used for screen doors will keep out baby frogs and insects.

Has anyone seen the movie "A Special Relationship'' about the friendship between ex-British PM Tony Blair and ex-American President Bill Clinton? It's a fascinating examination of how personal and political lives became blurred in the times of Lewinsky and Bosnia. Michael Sheen does a brilliant job.

I can't even get interested in the politics of my own country, let alone others, and I can't stand politicians and don't give a hoot. So that's a no. I see Michael Sheen is not a member of the Hollyweird Sheen aka Estevez clan.

Alrighty, looking up plants.
Red callistemon aka bottlebrush. Pretty red flowers that looks like bottlebrushes. Attracts moth larvae.
Camellia. Pretty pink or dark pink or white flowers. Attracts moth and butterfly larvae.
Olive. Tiny white flowers. Fruits. Attracts moth and butterfly larvae. Rabbits like to eat the bark. Can be fire hazard in very dry places due to high oil content.
Personally, I like the camellia flowers best.

Yep, camellia. White or light pink so it doesn't distract form your rose bush. That said. I must admit that I love the look of mature olive trees, even with all their problems.

Julie? Drop bears?
PJ, those little guys are frisky, aren't they? "It is a log therefore I can jump it. Outta my way!" Thanks for the laughs.
DK, take your thumbs outside for a walk every now and then.
Sharabella, I love olive trees for their silvery foliage but they take so long to grow.
Here's a callistemon named after Mary MacKillop - kind of appropriate I thought - and a camellia wildfire like mine. I think I'm sold on the camellia.

DK, hmmmmm .... what on earth do people do for exercise in the ice and snow? I KNOW! They walk. Get your boots and coat on and hussle, woman.
Sami, it is a lovely red colour isn't it? Yours sounds delicious too. One day, I hope to paint the house white, with charcoal and red trim so the garden foliage will complement it all beautifully.
My Sunday thus far ... 5.00am walked the pup. 5.30-7.00am worked in the yard, digging, moving rubbish. 7.15am shower mud away
I'm exhausted and I haven't even had breakfast yet.
