I just got back from Christmas shopping. I'm down to ONE gift...ONE gift! Now I get to wrap all of them, put them under the tree, try to keep the cats out of them and make out all of my Christmas cards.

I haven't started him on IV treatment yet. He seems to be doing better since he had those teeth taken out. He has been very feisty lately. Very Happy

Random:

Yesterday was a dreadful day weatherwise. Drizzle to heavy showers all day. There was no chance to get outside other than in a car. It drove me insane, let alone what it did for Bud. Isn't it ironic that whatever the weather, we beg for something different? I had to keep reminding myself that at least the rain cooled the temperature down.

Today, we have overcast skies but with some sunny, blue patches. Bud even got a short walk. On my shopping list today - gumboots and a cultivating hoe. That lovely red rosebush may find it's home if the rain stays away.

After that .................... Sleep

More than flurries here. About two inches on the ground so far, and more to come. Fourteen degrees tonight with high winds. Not suppose to get above freezing all week----and it isn't winter yet.

No snow here, but a hard freeze tonight. Supposed to get to 23F (-5C) by 5 or 6 am.

It's 5F here with a -10F wind chill. We had 4.3 inches of snow yesterday (a new St Louis record), though you really can't tell given how much it blowed around.

Random: I might use a personal/sick/vacation day today.

Yeah, and on top of that I was sick to my stomach this morning, so I decided to use my sick day. I went back to sleep and slept until almost 2pm. I feel much better now. Very Happy

Random:

The saga of the front garden continues. To date I have - a draft planting plan; chosen the tree/shrub for one centre-piece; dug up a leaking pvc pipe to replace broken piece ... myself; bought soil improver/fertiliser; designed a pathway with red slate and white siltstone (like sandstone but finer grain); with help of a friend concreted two final posts for climbing rose arbour; and various minor jobs.

It's almost addictive.

Here are some photos for you all of the front garden and the three cast iron/steel panels I had restored for security purposes in bathroom and on verandah. Aren't they fantastics? BTW: In the background you may see the hardwood fence that I (WE) BUILT.

My random is I want to spend the months of December, January and part of February in Australia because it's warmer there now. I have been freezing since Sunday.

Oh my second random:
Some guy who I didn't think was creepy said something creepy while shielding me from the brutally cold wind while I was working yesterday. He said he felt like he was a Popsicle. Then he said he wished I was a Popsicle, too. Use your dirty minds to figure out what he said next.

Men need to learn there is a difference between good flirting and bad, just plain creepy flirting. He might have had a chance but not anymore.
