A friend of mine called me a bit ago and invited me to the baseball game with her this evening. It seems she has two FREE tickets to the sold out Cardinals-Cubs game, and she invited me!
So I shall be out this evening, having an actual social life outside of the computer.

Cardinals and Cubs are a BIG rivalry. It's always sold out, and a lot of Cubs fans drive down for the game (Chicago is about a five our drive). And, given it's a pennant race (Cards in first, Cubs right behind in same division), it's sure to be a wild night.
I pigged out on cheeseburgers today, and dad told me not to be drinking tonight...so I guess I'm out of luck.

I can't keep up with all the magazines. Do we have a copy of the SCI-FI magazine? There's an interview about Gamer. I think there was another UK mag about the Ugly Truth. Was at the bookstore, looking for film making books.

I knew I should have picked up SCI-FI. I used to subscribe to it.

President Obama has won a Nobel Peace Prize? Really?
I assume this has brought rounds of warm congratulations and jeers of disbelief simultaneously.

I have no words...I don't even know what to think about it. I mean, I see why they did but personally, I think he would have deserved it more maybe closer to the of his 4 year term.
Well, congrats. I'm just tired of hearing it all over the forums. I kept off the internet all day, busy with other stuff, because that's all I saw on Twitter and FB and elsewhere.

I lost a bet recently.
Therefore, today I go to work dressed as Little Red Riding Hood. I just need to buy some apples for my basket.
No photographic proof will be forthcoming so don't even think of asking.

Ok, I'm moving out this coming weekend. A friend of my mother's wants a roommate so she's not alone at home. She's 80. I don't pay a cent to live there, but there's a ton of work to be done in the house. It's close to school, and just across the freeway from my folks so I can still help with my father.
Busy, busy week.

The bet was a win-win all round.
A "You can't read that much!" kind of bet. They did read that much and became better readers because of it.
Alice, that is fabulous news for you. Close by but with flexiblility and semi-independence. Congrats!

What's with the touched-up SNL photos? I swear he is wearing more foundation than I ever have in my life.
I still haven't seen the Bonnie Hunt show. Can anyone give me their impressions please?
