Gerard Butler ditches the facial scruff while stepping out in the Yorkville area to grab a bite to eat at Sassafraz Restaurant on Saturday afternoon (November 7) in Toronto, Canada.

The 45-year-old actor was joined for the outing by his assistant, Amy.

Gerard is in town filming his next movie, The Headhunter’s Calling, which may be why he’s sporting a clean shave these days.

Gerard Butler sported a rare clean-shaven look during an outing on Saturday.

The Scottish heartthrob had shed his trademark stubble when he was spotted out in Toronto, Canada with his longtime assistant Amy.

The 45-year-old actor looked a little chilly without the layer of facial fuzz, while his blonde companion kept snug in a padded jacket.

Gerard was casual in jeans and a navy t-shirt which he teamed with a dark leather jacket.

The Ugly Truth star's brown locks appeared a little disheveled and he shaded his eyes with stylish aviators.

Gerard drove the duo to the Yorkville neighbourhood where they were pictured heading to lunch at Sassafraz restaurant.

The actor is preparing to film The Headhunter's Calling which he stars in alongside Alison Brie and Willem Dafoe.

The drama marks Mark Williams' directorial debut and revolves around Gerard's character Dane Jensen, a ruthless corporate headhunter who puts his career before his family.

Everything changes when his Jensen's son gets cancer and he has to rethink his priorities.

It's a change of pace for the action hero whose sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, titled London Has Fallen, is released on March 4.

The movie hunk is currently dating brunette beauty Morgan Brown, 39.
