I think you should have sang, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard......" along with the appropriate dancing.
But that's just me.

This soft porn schtick? All she needs is a bloody red light and a telephone pole.
Sure Tex, the next Parent/Teacher Interviews would have been VERY interesting!

I've spent the weekend again, at my brother in law's comic convention in San Jose. It was a quick weekend. This year, I worked with Marina Sirtis, Deanna Troi of Star Trek, The Next Generation.
She was wonderful! Completely different from her character, which makes her a fantastic actor.
The other people I worked with before, John Westley Shipp and Jane Wiedlin were neighbors for the weekend. It was really cool to have them around, and for them to even remember little ole me. I mean, I'm nobody, when it comes to entertainers. So for Jane to come up to me, instead of me going to her, meant a lot to me.
It's these kinds of entertainers that I have a lot of respect for...

Marina Sirtis IS great. Very sweet, very witty, and with a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. I met her at MegaCon in Orlando in 2006 (LegoJulie was with me), and she didn't even have a handler...she was doing everything for herself. I wanted a picture with her, and in return she was taking $2 donations to the no kill animal shelter. I didn't have the cash on me at the time, but she told me to bring it later, that she trusted me. She was really sweet and kind.
I've been rather incognito these past few days. I got wrapped up in working on computer stuff earlier in the week and got burned out, frankly. So I decided to divert myself for the past 2 days in playing Monkey Island on my computer. I finished earlier today, and then decided to continue spring cleaning. This time I'm moving and organizing things in my computer room. I just realized I have eight Bibles....and that doesn't include my Bible on cassette, my electronic Bible, my concordances, my interlinear Greek-English New Testament, my topical Bible, my Bible promise books, and a Book of Mormon (no, I'm not Mormon but I still like to study other beliefs). So my question is....with so many Bibles in my house, why am I still so ornery?

Maybe because you need to open them and read them instead of just collect them?
Okay, here's something random...we had an earthquake here yesterday. I don't ever recall having one here before. It was about 18 miles west of Dallas and was a 3.3. Luckily, I didn't feel it at my house (in the middle of Dallas). I'm not sure how I would react to an earthquake.
Tornados, however, are old hat to me. It is tornado season here, and last week we had some wicked storms. My weather radio was in overdrive all week. I got really sick of the alarm going off and the city sirens.
I guess now that we have had an earthquake I'll just wait for the locusts to come and for the water to turn to blood...

That thought occurred to me as well. If I'd read them more often, I wouldn't be having to dust them off right now.
Dallas, you had an earthquake too? I heard one hit in CA earlier this evening. I remember when we got an earthquake about a year ago, and then the aftershocks. It was creepy. We already get twisters, we don't need quakes as well.

DK, Marina was collecting funds for her charity, Friends for life, I think it's name...for dogs.
Most celebs don't really like to deal with the money. I get it. I play the bad guy.
I need to talk to you about building forums and stuff, DK. Have questions.

Also been busy keeping up with Michael's work at Cannes. Fish Tank premiered last week, and Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds will be showing next Wed. A full week for the Fass.
Does Tom have a fan forum yet?

I didn't see anything...
I went on his IMDB forum and read a few posts, and judging from a few things that were said, I got the impression his fanbase can be...competitive....as well. Ah well, I'm not doing it to get close to Tom or compete - I just think it would be fun. I hope I'm not going to have to deal with more bat#@$% fans, though. It might be a good thing to go into this blind...sometimes I think I know too much about G's fandom. I need something fresh.
What questions do you have, Alice? I'm learning, but I'll help any way I can. Are you thinking of starting a forum? You'd be good at it. I'll support you.

No, I'm not thinking of starting one...
Just need a little help updating some stuff elsewhere, and those who are left, don't know how to do much, including myself.
I'll get back to you, thanks!
Oh, Marina did mention Tom today. I forgot that he was in one of the movies. Actually, I've only seen one of the movies, forced by the guy I was dating at the time.

Yes, they were in Nemesis together. Seeing as how I'm a big Trek fan (it was my first fandom, actually), it's like coming full circle. I was a Trek fan first, then Hercules, then Xena, then Andromeda (because of Kevin Sorbo)...and Steve (because of Kevin Sorbo)...and then Gerry (not because of Kevin Sorbo )...

DK, God is ornery. Jesus was ornery. Moses was ornery. Abraham was ornery. David was Ornery. Paul was ornery. Mary was ornery (meek and mild my foot! "I'm not married, I'm pregnant, lookit!"). Don't think reading the Bible will make you less ornery.
Earthquake in Dallas? That's so far away. A 3.3 isn't much more than a bicycle hitting the side of a barn.
I could use a new fandom. No one mainstream. Mainstream people attract crazies.

If you ever play Monkey Island, you'll have songs like these going through your head:

I know what you mean. What happened to Stevedom? He's not mainstream.
I'm working on a forum for Tom Hardy. I'm not sure if his fanbase is crazy or not, because I don't really know that much about them. I guess I'll find out the hard way.

Hahahaha. No, a 3.3 is just mild shaking. Apparently there is a fault line that runs through the area. There were 6 small ones last November centered between Dallas and Ft. Worth. I missed those too.
I'm used to the tornadoes, flash flooding and ice storms. I'll pass on the earthquakes.
You may send me a care package though. Keep the chocolates and send cute shoes instead.

For those who even watch tv, the list of canceled shows are up, and of course, all the new ones I liked are gone...sigh...well, less for me to watch when I go back to school.
I'm surprised Scrubs is renewed, because just last week or week before, everyone was crying about the series finishing.
I'm surprised about a few other choices that have been renewed. I used to watch Smallville religiously, and everyone swore they'd be done by this year, as the main protagonist was gone.

Alice, those t-shirts are terrific! Where do I buy the 2nd and 3rd ones?
Is anyone else curious about the 'Bounty Hunter' movie Senor Butler is supposedly making in the middle of next month? I'm not a true fan of Jennifer Aniston because, even though I have given her chances to mix her career up a bit, more often than not she always comes back to this middle-of-the-road character reminiscent of Rachel. She doesn't appear to be capable of carrying a movie as the sole draw-card and yet GB has signed onto a movie with her??
Is he aiming for the Clooney plan of justifying odd choices? Clooney seems to occasionally choose movies that pay damn well in order to then spend the money producing/directing better movies more under his control.
Just say no, GB. Walk away now. The mullet haired, tattooed look would not be a good one for you.

But think of all the fun we could have on this forum if Butler wore a mullet?
We certainly need something to jumpstart this forum. The interest just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Even our regulars are irregular now....so to speak...

I would be in heaven if Butler sported a mullet. I would have so much to say on the matter........
