You really have to be careful with Irish though. Ireland is 'divided' and the northern part of it is part of the UK. The southern part is not. So when referring to UK, Brits, whatever, and you want to include Irish, unless you know exactly what part of Ireland you are talking about, you should say, UK/Ireland.

Southern Irish do not consider themselves Brits of any kind. They are not British subjects.

Random:

Have just spent an informative two hours planning my front garden with a friend over a cup of tea. Imagine a rectangle cut in half by a sandstone path with an arbour at the front gate and the house steps at the other end. The lefthand side section is still up for discussion (possible large terracotta pot with red camellia or french lavendar) but the right hand side .... ooh la la. A white frangipani tree in the centre with four quadrants separated by stone/timber paths. Each quadrant would contain either red, white, yellow or blue perennials.

It's a work in progress.

PJ, the cafe table and chairs will now go to the backyard which could have more of a french influence. One suggestion I had for the perennials in the quadrants was two white and two blue = Scottish flag. Thought that would tickle your fancy! Razz

LJ, there's an access point/path from the other side of the house that is 1.5 metres wide.
Is that enough for all of your alcohol cases? drunken

I think a man is at his utmost sexiest when he is helping others and not asking for anything else in return or milking it for attention, as many do. Three of my buddies have taken the last part of their vacations to help others, including helping me with my crazy schedule and helping others with home repairs in this awful heat. I could never bake enough pies or cupcakes to express my gratitude and admiration.

Yeah, yesterday felt like Friday to me too, but no, I still have to work today. However, I DO have the weekend off. First time in three months.

About 2 weeks ago local street urchin's mom called to say her urchin had lice. We looked. 3 days later my urchin had lice, so we poisoned everyone in the house and forbade the urchin from joining up with the other urchins.

Last week we did the second poisoning of the people and let the urchin out. Found out from first infested urchin that their family tried home remedy the first time and it didn't work, then used store poison. That explained my urchin getting it.

Last night I saw 2 lice mating on my urchin's head. And we had another round of people poisoning.

Urchin is now basically grounded.

That lice shampoo also cleans dandruff really well.

I hated that the ideal taboo about getting lice was that you were a dirty kid. Lice live for clean hair.

When I was little, every time my cousins would come from the islands, we'd have to buy the shampoo.

Brad Pitt is filming a movie (ok, like when isn't he) with director Steven Sodenberg (again...Ocean's films?) about the Oakland A's- from a book called "Moneyball". Anyhoo, they are filming some outside and locker room scenes at the Oakland Coliseum...a train ride away.

My roommate is way to excited about this.

I like Brad, but I'm not in like with him, if that makes any sense. I enjoy his acting.

I'm getting ready to go on a movie date tonight. I told my date I wouldn't mind seeing Inception again. That or maybe Salt, who knows? I don't think he cares either way.

I seems as if every time I show my buddies a video of GB doing karaoke they want to go. Thank God there is a place that really isn't like a bar around here that I like. Actually, all of them can sing with the exception of my ex-bf. Poor guy. He just stands there and looks handsome.

Speaking of crazy, I'm watching 'Alice in Wonderland' - what a treat to spend time in Tim Burton's world. I must look up his other work.
