I had a slightly cranky day today too. We can't all be hormonal. Laughing

Saw an odd, slightly sad thing this afternoon as I was walking Le Pooch. A couple, husband and wife, were fast walking along side by side but with IPods/MP3s in their ears. Not using it as a chance to talk, or hold hands, or laugh or debrief ... just tune out completely. What's the purpose in that?

I was wondering.... If Scotland and Ireland are part of Great Britain, does that make you British if you come from Scotland?

I once slept on a park bench for about two hours in Toronto..lol
My friend was supposed to guard me whilest I had nap, well she fell asleep to..not a good idea!
We had basically walked from the Train Station all the way down to Medival Times..we were already tired from being to excited to sleep, so we decided to take turns napping.

I assume, much to Scottish/Irish/Welsh disgust, they are classified as British. But I know for certain that the Scots believe they are Scottish first and British second. Much like the Texans! Laughing

I was trying to figure out... if Gerard's family is from Ireland, he was born in Scotland, which is part of Great Britain, what would his "nationality" be considered, if they even use such a term over there.
But your totally right on the Texan thing. My dad is a Texan, lord knows they are a proud bunch!

interesting question. my family is the opposite. we're of scottish decent, but the most recent immigrants to this country came from ireland. i just always refer to our heritage as scotch-irish, altho i'm american.

I think I had a dream about Gman, which was probably inspired by the fact that PSILY was on TV all weekend, and BH was advertised like there was no tomorrow.

I believe Gman was trying to apologize in my dream.

I am ScottishScottishScottish ... with a little dash of German on the maternal grandmother side. Have no interest in seeing Germany but have been to Scotland twice now. It truly is in the blood.

According to one of my on-line Scottish friends, yes. Anyone from Great Britain is considered British.

Yes they are British. But as everyone has already stated, the Scots, Welsh, and Irish refer to themselves as, well, the Scots, Welsh and Irish. Don't ever call them English, as they'll let you know their disdain. Now, my family is English and Scottish and German. My son and I were in England and Scotland last year. It was grrreat seeing where my family is from!
