Gee, Nay, I didn't know you had to go back to work that soon. Get sleeping, girl!
In the meantime, how's your head this morning, DK?

My head has a knot on it, but I think it might be a little better. Thanks for asking!

Sorry DK that you aren't feeling well.
Two days, Nay? Back to real life. Durn!
As you you are now home, I'm getting ready for a few days away in L.A. to attend the Inglourious Basterds' premiere. Won tix to the premiere. Lucked out.
Don't think I'll even get a blink of the Pitts, but hoping to talk to some of the other actors...including one Mr. Stelios of 300.
I just hate packing, though. Such a chore.

Alice, off to see the Fassenwenderbender boy, are we? Have fun!
He seems like a nice chap, just the sort to take home to Mum. Funny how he is working with all of these great directors and in movies with presumably terrific scripts, isn't it?
Back to work for me today. I am so anxious to see my little people. Smacks for the naughty ones and squeezes for the good ones! Hahhaaa

Why did you bang your head on the wall, DK? Was the Harry Potter movie that bad?

Well, it was like this. I had just seen a 2 1/2 hour movie and it was dark in the theater. It was about midnight, I had left my glasses at home, and I have horrible night vision partially due to astigmatism. I went to throw away my soda on the way out, and the trash can was one of those "enclosed in the wall" kinds...meaning, if you're short, you have to kinda lean over to throw anything away. Anyway, I went to throw the soda in there, not knowing there was a wall over the can.
Next time I just need to wait until I get into a lighted corridor to throw anything away.

It's not fun having a knot, DK, but that's a good sign that you didn't do any internal damage. I'm not a Doctor and I don't play one on TV.
Random...do you think Mr. B. got those v-neck tees in several colors?

The flip side to that coin is that mothers are always undermined by a sense of guilt, Donna. I have seen it in action many times from a child through to a grown adult.
Random: I have hit one of those times when a man may just come in handy. No, it's not for what first jumped into your minds.

I can't wait for it to get dark so I can go outside and watch the Perseid meteor shower. Yes, I'm a nerd and I love astronomy.

Thanks, DK! My daughter wants to see shooting stars.
A couple of weeks ago we saw the Space Shuttle flying across the sky overhead followed by the International Space Station.

How did you see that, Jules? Do you have a telescope?
I went out last night but didn't see anything. They said the best viewing was about 1am-6am CST, but I couldn't stay awake that long. I think they're supposed to be visible tonight too.
Yesterday I watched Meet the Spartans. I thought it was funny. I also laughed on the extras when Kevin Sorbo said he could kick the ass of anyone from the film 300 because he had been doing that "300 workout" for seven years while he was on Hercules.
You go, Kevin!

The SST and ISS were visible to the naked eyes. They looked like small white pebbles crossing the sky, took about 3 minutes for them to cross.

LOL!
Seriously though, if Gerry couldn't have been Leonidas, I think Kevin would have worked wonderfully, but in a different way after seeing him on Herc.
I loved that film, until they got the transformer in the movie. I get the gist of the movie, but that couldn't even fit into the story. Just too odd.
I loved the end when everyone was singing. It was good to see Kevin sing again.
Should watch it again. All the 300 spoofs were really fun, except for a certain queen.

It does bring up a good point, though. I know the 300 workout had to have been really difficult, but how did Kevin keep that up for so long? At one point I heard he was working out 6 hours a day to keep his physique, until he finally had an aneurysm. It was shortly after that that he quit, I believe.
Kevin is still in really good shape, especially for his age. I remember Kull...I think he could have pulled the Leonidas role too, especially in his younger years.

Oh hahaha two smart mouths!
It was in the top of the arm and if you can arrange for my two year old nephew to kiss it, go right ahead. But I warn you both, he is playing killer mind games with me at the moment. Every time I go near him or even look at him, he says "No, NayNay!" with his warning finger pointing straight at me.

Random - Purple Rain is on tv. I have been trying to go to bed, but I can't tear myself away.
Another random - I dated a really big guy (football player) who thought Prince was a pipsqueak and called him a little purple twilly head. You know those toothpicks with a cellophane frill thing on the end? That was a twilly.

And if you click on the next link, you will have a new earworm and won't be able to get the very begining of "When Doves Cry" out of your head. I wish I could make that noise with my throat and mouth (without one of those freaky vibrator things that people use when they have no voice box). If I could, I would run around torturing people at work.
