I think this heat is God's way of reminding me of what Hell will be like if I don't stop my wild ways.

My weekend starts in less than 24 hours and I have not determined where I want to be or what I want to do.

I have been around some snarky people today but I am not going to give in to their angst! I am going to have a great weekend and I hope everyone else does too!

I think I might drink enough vino tonight to help me forget that it's 88F in my house with the A/C running.

I will be watching the sunrise somewhere on a beautiful trail. It's worth getting up this early. I will probably take a long nap when we get back!

Got a wedding to attend this evening. Not one of my fav things. The couple own a house and have lived together for ten years. Why they would go to the expense of a wedding rather then use the money in some other more useful manner escapes me. But hey, that's just me.

Just talked to one of my best friends for life that I don't see often and realized how much I miss him.

New freezer ice maker has arrived and husband is installing it.

DK, try blowing a fan across a bowl full of ice. Or sitting in the bowl full of ice.

Vino makes me hotter. I avoid it.

I have someone I am very close to going through a very difficult time. Please, please say a prayer or wish him good thoughts. I am going home tonight so I can take him to breakfast tomorrow but the gesture seems so lame. I wish I could fix it.

No miracle for my friend today but thanks for the prayers. I am still seeing a lot of good in people and that is comforting. I wish I could do more than say thanks right now because it means so much.

Random:not looking for sympathy, but, this old gal hasn't been around 'caus I was sick with a bronchial infection and on top of that have had bad reactions to the antibiotic given to me. I don't know what is worse.

I live with a guy who gets stomped by bronchial infections a lot. You have my sympathy anyway, pj. Get well.

I still hate laundry. I haven't done laundry since the first week of June. I am doing laundry now. There is more laundry than offspring, pound per pound.

I am apparently supposed to go on a date Friday night. I thought he just wanted to hang out. But he is telling our mutual friends about our upcoming "date." I am figuring out how to let him down gently.

Random:
Went to a free screening of "Knight and Day" last night.
It was enjoyable, and pretty much like I thought it would be - a little over the top, somewhat funny banter, and a lot of action.

I have to say though, that it didn't blow me away. It was good, compared to the movies that I have seen lately - but it should be good, period - not good compared to what else is out there. It's seems that movies lately are either remakes, sequels, or typical formula stories. I'm kind of tired of it. And I'm tired that the good ones or the gems are few and far between.

I got free tickets to a screening of "Grown Ups" tomorrow night. I plan on going and will let you know how it is. It looks funny. I also got invited to some special screening of some movie that they want audience feedback on before it gets released. I am leaning towards not going to that one b/c it sounds kind of like a "Crazy Heart" rip off.
