I think I might catch a matinee tomorrow. I might as well enjoy my time off, instead of fretting. Watchmen is opening...maybe I'll go to the mall tomorrow, and catch the movie in the afternoon.

Are you sure it wasn't Tex spying on you Nay. I have had those types of lunch dates and as far as I am concerned they are the best ever. I have 2 of them scheduled for next month as my nephews Hayden will be 7 and Nathan will be 10. I take them to lunch and a movie. Last year Nate and I saw Nim's Island.

Oggs, if Tex looks like that person in real life, we are going to roll around on the floor laughing at ALL of our conversations in the past year!
Did you remember that we'll have our one year anniversary soon?

Well, well, somebody seems to have taken a liking to James Morrison! Wonder who introduced you to him???!!!
And BTW, I am not an obnoxious American who talks loud. I might smack someone, but I do it silently.

Ali Mcgraw went thru my line today. BIG rite of passage for me because I've alway adored her.
Kind and beautiful, her spirit was contagious.

Was this at work, Leo? Wow. How did you react?
In this week's OK magazine (Australia), there is a photographic article called 'Before They were Stars'. GB is featured (the blonde hair, autograph-signing photo) next to Dita Von Teese - I'm sure he'd like his placement.

Random ... I could care less for GB's nutso fans at the moment.
Instead, I am buying torches, batteries and non-perishable food supplies and hoping that Cyclone Hamish doesn't change course overnight. It's a Category Four and is tracking parallel to the QLD coastline at a slow rate. The Bureau of Meterology's latest warning (2pm Monday) told us that damaging winds are likely in the next 24 hours and sea levels will be elevated (along with their normal tidal movements). Wind gusts at its centre are 250km/h and people have been advised to secure property. At work, we moved small items indoors and I unplugged computers and moved valuable resources away from sliding windows. Now I am at home and will start moving outdoor furniture and plants inside.
The real irony here is that the cyclone has a freakin' Scottish name!
I'll check back in tomorrow morning if we have electricity to let those interested know the latest.

Is that the reflection or the original?
Why am I asking this question?

Lena, you are a hot mess!
You know, Nay, I'm not sure I'd say it's ironic that the tropical storm has a Scottish name. I think it is actually a very fitting name. One could argue that Gerry is a hurricane himself!
Stay safe, Nay!

Thanks Emily. Cyclone Hamish is still Category 4 but is slowing further. This means it will linger off the southern coast of QLD. Unfortunately, weather experts say that when they slow they can often become more unpredictable. We had strong winds here last night. No obvious damage this morning but who knows what the day will bring. There's also talk of it splitting into two cyclones. That scares me a little.
I may change my mind though about liking the name Hamish!

Cyclone Hamish has been downgraded to a Category 2 now. It is unlikely to cross the coast of Queensland but is predicted to turn into a rain depression. if so, the ghost of Gene Kelly and I will be out doing our gutter thingy.
I still think it's ironic it was named Hamish ...
