What gets me are the commercials for prescription drugs that have so many side effects, that you'd wonder why anyone would take them...or the commercials for sleeping pills that list drowsiness or sleepiness as a side effect...duh.

My mother feels the same way too about those commercials.
I guess they have to let you know that during studies, some people did experience such problems.
But if you think about it, when introducing your body to foreign substances, reactions can happen.

When the need to be cool from the extreme heat outweighs the fear of crawling underneath the house amidst the mud, creepy crawlies, cobwebs and dark and damp and enclosed places....the broken duct is now repaired.

Yes Nay, I did.
The house temp has dropped 4 degrees in the past hour because I am no longer air conditioning the crawlspace.
And to all of those "professional" air conditioning MEN who wouldn't listen to me when time and time again I kept telling them something was wrong with the ducts...

And by the grace of God the AC is running quite nicely. It's holding at 78F and even kicks off now and then.
I decided to get out a little bit this morning. I drove down to the local Farmer's Market, which was kind of a bust because there were only about 10 booths and most of them were selling nothing but peaches. So I walked for a bit, then got back into the car and went to Dollar General. Picked up a few odds and ends - including PORK RINDS (mmmm), then went to Dirt Cheap to buy a bottle of wine. They also had Fireball, so I picked that up too. Now I'm trying to decide if I want a glass of wine or a glass of Fireball, or if I should be a good girl and stick with the light beer.

Yep, that's it Sami!
It's something that was introduced to me from a Canadian friend of mine. It's cinnamon whisky. A bit like Hot Damn, but better. Very sweet, when I do drink it I drink it on the rocks.

The weather is delighful today. Clear blue sky with slight breeze and mild air. So, I suddenly became motivated to work outside.
I've just finished moving 100 (I counted them) small garden rocks from one part of the back garden to against one side fence. Then, back aching already, I weeded a small garden and borrowed a neighbour's wheelbarrow to transport some loam later.
Now it is time for breakfast - cornflakes.
Bloody hell, I'm going to pay for this tomorrow.

I just finished moving the living room TV and DVD into the computer room, in anticipation for the delivery of a big screen TV a friend is supposed to give me next week.
I hope he still delivers it, so I'll have a TV to watch in the living room soon.

Since commencing work, I've become a morning person, Sami.
However, with the adoption of one canine beagle boy, the alarm clock goes off each morning around 5am. It is astounding as to how much can be achieved in the early hours.
This, of course, rubs Dallas the wrong way because she is a night person.
