i used to work with a girl who loved it and ironed to relax. whatever floats your boat.........

Ok, I'll be the first...

Personally, I love dance music, although pop music really turns me off. Surprisingly, I do like Kylie's music, probably since she redid "Locomotion" although I've never been a fan.

I know that dance music isn't everyone's taste. I actually did one of my 300 fan videos to one of Kylie's songs, for a contest on the other site a couple of years ago. Didn't win, didn't even make the top 3, although I thought it was good. Just didn't have a lot of special effects, nor a song anyone was familiar with.

I like the song. It's a good distraction from the news of the day:

Changes seem to be coming on our political front as Arlen Spector is defeated in a crazy night
The oil spill continues to cause problems on the Gulf
And the word "misspoke" is invoked once again by another politician.

I used to live there.

Do you still have friends there? This political unrest has been going on for awhile as you know. I am glad you are not there now.

I have tons of extended family there, and they mostly live in Bangkok. I'm sure they avoided the hot zones.

They have coups and riots there every few years but it's never been this bad. It's very disturbing watching my childhood hometown turn into a war zone.

Saying prayers for your family's safety and for comfort for you. I hope things will calm down there soon.

I've been watching and reading the news more lately because of the Thailand thing. I'm now thinking the world will end way before 2012. People are killing people pretty much everywhere. People are getting trapped in mines and falling down sink holes and getting flooded all over the world at just about the same time. Iceland volcanos are erupting and oil is toxifying the oceans. yay. whee. cheer.

I had a similar feeling on September 11. I was in broadcasting then and even though I was miles away from NYC, every reporter in the country was working some angle of the story I think from local reaction to interviewing relatives. It was a couple of days before I had time to take it all in and I remember that feeling that the world was coming to an end since September 11 was just a few years past Columbine and the Oklahoma City bombing. Life was definitely over as I had known it.

All those bad things you read in the papers and see in the telly its just horrible, sometimes I just wanna switch on my telly or read the newspapers.....really sad.

I was havin a discussin with my sister the other day about kilts, because since a couple of years a guy called Rettl, is makin good money with Kilts here in my country and county.

It say that the kilt has a history here in my county. well well, he has been to the " dressed to kilt" to th last year and Mr. Sean Connery was quite suprised and amused about this story, and appernetly there are selling "our" kilts in america too....mhhh
well, the point is I do remeber that I had a kilt as a child so did my sister`s too. I think mine was a green blue one, with a big massive golden needle to hold it in place. Mhh...my sister remebers now too , my mum said it was total hip to wear a kilt, especially kids, in the 70ties....uiiiii I was a little scotty...

Thanks Nay. Strange that I am excited about going to work! This board has kept me sane during this transition. I am so thankful for all of you! I would love to have our own gathering one day!

Nay, Robin Hood is out here in the US, and I do want to see it. I like those bad films like Alexander, Troy, even that awful one, oh yeah, 300. lol!

But Robin Hood just seems like something I'd enjoy.
