Last time I had to have 2 separate surgeries. The sexond one was very rare and involved a thoracotomy where they had to spread my ribs and screw a lead directly into my heart. this is by no means the norm. My cardiologist calls me Murphy as in if it can go wrong it will for me. I was off my feet for 8 weeks I've never endured anything so painful.

They said it shouldn't be half as difficult as the first time. I might even get to go home same day as long as they don't replace any leads.

Well it is getting better and better!! ( note that comment is dripping with sarcasm) They have set the date up for my replacement pacemaker and ICD. December 18th my 21st Wedding Anniversary! Yahoo!! If they don't replace any leeds I will go home same day but if they do I will have to stay over night.

PostSubject: Re: The Ranting Thread   The Ranting Thread - Page 5 Icon_minitimeFri Nov 21, 2008 6:58 pm

My sister goes to school in Santa Cruz, a good hour to hour and a half drive, 3x a week...in my car because hers is not working at this time.

Anyways, coming home through the Santa Cruz mountains, with road work, orange cones and two-lanes, a truck coming the opposite direction was going so fast, it knocked a cone off and hit my car, completely breaking the left side, left signal light. What's weird is that there's nothing there...no leftover debris. Just a big hole where the light would be. I wasn't too happy about that.

Luckily the price of gas is going down, but I had to get my oil changed yesterday...it took three hours in the evening! There were about 8 cars in front of mine when I left it, but when I came back to wait for the last hour, they went through like 5 different cars. I wonder about that place. I've decided not to go back. Three months ago, I paid 25.00 dollars for a change. Less than three months later, I paid 30.00!

I think I'm going to learn to change my own oil. It can't be that hard. The metal lifts would probably cost me as much as one oil change.

I'm not looking forward to my first oil change, because my new car takes synthetic oil. I think those oil changes run around $75 - but I heard you can go 7000 miles between changes instead of the typical 3000-5000 (I wonder if 7000 is the maximum or minimum...must check on that).

That sucks about the pacemaker, Joy. Sad

This morning, I fainted in the subway.
These 2 wonderful angels who work for the subway came to me and brought me a wet towel, brought me yogourt and sat with me for a good 15 minutes on the floor with me.
I found out I'm mildly hypoglycemic. I faint once every 4-5 years.
But it's my fault really. I don't eat in the morning and I run out of the house without even a coffee until I get to the office.
I've been working insane hours... 9-9, I've been tripping on my script (it's in its final draft)...
I need a vacation soon, but when?

Looks like I'm gonna have to come out to Montreal and give you a spanking (after hugging you)!! What's the deal, woman? A banana on the run will work wonders!

If I have to go into my mothering mode, you will NOT like it!

And now for my rant...

Why is it that you cannot find UNSWEETENED cornbread mix anymore??? Do they assume that everyone wants sweet cornbread all of the time?? Now I'm going to have to make my cornbread stuffing from scratch.

My rant is for Helena.

Listen to me, you naughty little wench! Evil or Very Mad Learn to eat something in the morning. Your body has spent the whole night digesting and resting and it needs a kick-start with fuel. You do have time to eat; don't try to tell me you don't. A piece of fruit, some nuts, vegemite on toast (yumm) - all good and quick. It sounds as though you do need a holiday and sooner rather than later (holidays in hospital are no fun).

And, bravo on the script final stage but couldn't you have waited to hand it over before fainting ... think how interesting that scenario could have been ...

looool!!!
I'm much better now.
I was working like a mad woman....9-9 thursday, 9-9 friday, saturday morning til 3pm then errands...then I had my script proofread by my wonderful dad and his wife and we needed to go over it til the wee hours of the morning last night.
I've been burning the candle at both ends.
But I really want this badly, because I know that it will be a hit and I know that it's the missing edge that Gerry needs to be considered as a serious actor. Strong messages need to be fought for...like freedom.

Thank you wonderful wonderful SEXY lovely ladies for caring so much.
It's touching and I love you guys.

I feel...

that apartments in the Bay Area are EVIL! They are nothing but pound-like atmospheres for people. A way for those who have to keep those who have not, in line.

Yes, I live in an apartment. My life is ok all and all, even between jobs, but there's nothing more miserable to me than living in an apartment.

I believe apts are made for people who don't stay home at all. Those who work long hours and come home only to sleep and eat. Other than that, there's not much you can do in an apartment.

Just my feelings...for some years now.

I used to live in an apartment. It was quite nice for a while, until I got a neighbor next door whose kids would constantly run up and down the steps, slamming the door to his apartment each and every time (we were on the top floor). Then I had the neighbor below me who didn't believe in cleanliness, and the stench from his apartment downstairs had the tendency to creep into mine...no matter how much I cleaned. Then there was that time that the tarantula from the woods that adjoined the apartment complex came into my apartment and scared the living shet out of me.

Come to think of it, I think I like living in a house much, much better.

I agree, and hopefully, we'll get out of here. We've lived in a house, until my dad lost his job. We've lived in this city since I graduated from school, and it really hasn't done much for me.

The worst are those spiders that carry their babies on their back...you smash them, think they're dead, then hundreds of these teeny black specks jump off and scatter in all directions...GROSS!
