What does US Memorial Day celebrate or remember?
Today I watched 'Vicky Christina Barcelona'. As a complete non-fan of Woody Allen (professionally and personally), I have to admit to enjoying the movie a great deal. It was essentially a movie length advertisement for Spain with lots of spice thrown in.

Memorial Day is a day to remember the US soldiers who died while in military service. I think most people have expanded it to include remembering all soldiers in general.

Memorial day is kind of like Anzac day although it doesn't necessarily commemorate a certain battle.
I saw that movie not to long ago. It was a visually beautiful movie, with gorgeous scenery.

I'm downloading my pics from Kodak.com, because they, like other sites, are going to paid usage. I have pictures there from 1999, when it was owned by another company. Unfortunately, that one company lost about 5 rolls of film from my trip to London, and I was devastated. Thank goodness for digital cameras, where I have control of my own pictures.

and I have about 8000 pictures to download before they delete them on the 28th...just found out about the deletion yesterday. I'm sure they sent me something, but I only go to the site about once a year.
