Annie Lennox has a beautiful voice, almost hypnotic. Very few can compete with her.

Love me some Annie. I was a HUGE Eurythmics fan in the 80s. "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" and "Here Comes the Rain Again" are my favorites followed by "Would I Lie to You".
I also have her solo albums "Diva" and "Medusa". Seriously, is there anything better than "Why", "Walking on Broken Glass", "No More I Love You,' and her version of "Whiter Shade of Pale" ?
I think "Songs of Mass Destruction" is her latest solo album and I have that one too. My fav song on it is "Dark Road." Since most of you might not be familair with it, here you go. Enjoy.
(beautiful pics of her through the years)
If you want the official video of the song, here you go:

You like Annie? I love Annie! I have her last album! (and others) She's my second favorite female singer, only behind Alison Moyet.
I love "Womankind", which got me to buy the last album. Had started making a G video to the song, but lost the file.
I love her version of Clash's song, "Train in Vain" from Medusa. I think that's my favorite song that she's recorded.

"Train in Vain" is awesome. So is "Don't Let It Bring You Down" and "Take Me To The River" "Something So Right",and of course "Whiter Shade of Pale". That album has a vibe to it, doesn't it? It's all covers, isn't it? I had thought "No More I Love You's" was an original song until years and year later.....
All her stuff is good.
I'll shut up now.

Random:
I just got home and an Amazon.com box was waiting for me on my front door step.
I ordered 5 movies from the 80s to round out my "classic movies of all time" collection (including The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Heathers) and I decided to order some of my the music that I have from the 80s-early 90s on CDs so that I could put them on my IPod etc.
Anyone remember "The Call" and "Peter Murphy"? Oh, and I also now have "The Lost Boys Soundtrack" on CD. Yes, that is just some of the random things I ordered to replace cassettes that I already have....
*This is what happens when you are bored and can't sleep at night. Warning: do not go on to Amazon.com. under those circumstances.

I love Amazon. Another good place to buy DVD's is deepdiscountdvd.com .
That reminds me, I need to turn in my Netflix DVD. I'm watching Dark Shadows right now. Love that show!

I had to buy my books from Amazon yesterday, so I also picked up a few movies. It will probably be the last time I shop for a while anyways.
Peter Murphy! I still love the Call. The Lost Boys album is great. Love INXS on that album. Well, love INXS since long time ago.
I wasn't a big 80's movie fan, though.

Perchance dear Dallas, were any of the cds Bernard Fanning's 'Tea and Sympathy' or Powderfinger?
I am losing patience with you, young lady.

No rest for the wicked this Sunday.
I have been opening boxes, sorting through contents, putting aside donations for St VdePaul, reordering and resealing for the BIG final move.
I have 'discovered' some funny old gems.
old handbags (WTF was I thinking?), dressmaking patterns, my esky (MIA for 3 years; Mum's been asking awkward questions), black velvet shoes, cream silk organza 'wedding' blouse (thought my sister had pilfered it), old Christmas cards, Italy travel books, a crocheted purse from Grandma (her last gift to me), yoga VHS tapes, Otis Redding cd (playing now), easel and paints, a huge ceramic piggy bank and .................................. EUR$300!!!
Dusty work but what a trip down memory lane.

isn't it crazy when you find old stuff you forgot about?
Been doing that this year, since you know, I have the time.

Is anyone here a watcher of 'True Blood'?
My local video store had the first series for rent so I started yesterday while sifting through a huge amount of paperwork. Felt kind of sleazy to be honest when walking out the door with it.
Wow .... Bill oozes moody passion from the slightest movement of his hands to the sucking face scenes with Sookie.
All this darkness was counterbalanced by 'Pushing Daisies' which has unfortunately been taken off air.

I has a theory ... a weeny theory ....
Several times now Dallas or DK have brought us news about the Butlinator only for it to appear soon after elsewhere (starts with the letter 'i').
Coincidinks? Maybe not.
If so, can the peepers please either reference the find or send polite thank you cards to D and D.
Not much to ask.
