Phelps swims, Leto rocks, Fins party

Olympian Michael Phelps was spotted Monday afternoon doing laps in the rooftop pool at The Gansevoort. The swimmer apparently was in town for the Dolphins playoff game Sunday, as was Johnny Depp.

Friday night at Casa Tua: Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria Parker, with Market America's J.R. and Loren Ridinger.

At Meat Market the same night Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Bay and The Mentalist'sSimon Baker. On Saturday night, comedian Jackie Mason, whom our spy described as ``like HughHefner. All the girls were going wild for him.''

Compulsive microphone-hog Jamie Foxx hit Mansion's stage on Friday night with a bottle of Dom Perignon in celebration of the release of his new album Intuition. Foxx, we're told, was eager to get on the mic, so the DJ immediately cued up one of his new tracks, Blame It. Afterward, Foxx performed his hit song, Golddigger, beat-boxing over the lyrics.

On Saturday night, actor Gerard Butler stopped into Mansion to hear French superstar DJ Bob Sinclar spin for the packed house. Butler sat stage-side with Mansion owner Roman Jones as the DJ performed along with R&B singer Kevin Little. Later, Butler took the party to Louis Bar-Lounge, where he was seated between an unknown blond and brunet, sipping on Pepsi until 3 a.m. -- he was overheard saying he doesn't drink alcohol.

Also spotted at Louis: actor-turned-rocker Jared Leto, who was sporting a plaid shirt, skinny jeans and dark eyeliner. He was surrounded by a few 'rock 'n' roll model chicks,'' sipping on a bottle of Veuve Cliquot. Leto was also seen at Bella Rose's cult favorite, Black Sunday, until 5 a.m. Monday morning. Amazingly, his eyeliner did not smudge or run. Could it be a tattoo?

Spotted in the passenger seat of a Lexus SUV heading south on Alton Road on Saturday: Michael Caine.

Sunday night's Soul Kitchen at The Forge welcomed the Miami Dolphins to a party to mark the end of their turnaround 11-6 season. Hosts Shareef Malnik and former Fins star Louis Oliver toasted the team as a handful of Baltimore Ravens players were also on site to show their respect.

Florida Gators fans will join the Gator Nation in South Beach on Wednesday at Red the Steakhouse where some of the the team's past greats -- Fred Taylor, Shane Matthews, Willie Jackson, Eric Rhett, Fred Weary, Terry Jackson, James Bates, Reidel Anthony, Noah Brindise, Judd Davis, Cooper Carlisle, Vernell Brown and Mike Harris -- will host a dinner and cocktail reception for Thursday night's big BCS title game. The party goes from 6-11 p.m. and then moves on to Mansion. For dinner reservations, call 305-534-3688.

Good point--I prefer pepsi myself.

Personally, I prefer Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper. Pepsi goes flat very easily.

It's so hilarious how much we know about Gerry. That was my first thought too. Pepsi? He's a Coke man. We know too much for our own good!

Anyone who likes Coke can't be all that bad, I guess. As long as it's liquid, caramel in color and carbonated, that is...

I'm a Coke Zero fan myself. I about died when I saw your Saturday night live stuff. We are showing how old we are if we quote those.

I was looking at a recent picture of Jon Bon Jovi and though I think he is still hawt, I couldn't help but notice that he has...aged...a bit...since I saw him in concert those many years ago.

God, I feel old.

Well, since I know I'll never be the "unknown brunette"...or "blonde" for that matter...all there is left for me (when it comes to Gerry, anyway) are carbonated beverages.

Oh, and I'm suddenly craving a cheeseburger too.
