The Bounty Hunter star checked into the Drovers Inn at Loch Lomond with a mystery brunette by his side.
And Paisley-born Butler got into the party mood as he arrived just as the regular ceilidh was starting.
Owner Ernest Strang said: “The place was rocking but Gerry just sat back and enjoyed the company. Gerry loved it — he even joined in Flower of Scotland.”
Ernest, 57, added: “He has stayed here several times so it was just like welcoming an old friend.
“He had a lady friend with him but we do not know who she was — and we would never have asked.” Footy-mad Butler, 42, had played in Sunday night’s Soccer Aid charity match in Manchester.
Receptionist Renee Ferns, 25, was thrilled when he checked into the Inveraran venue the following day.
She said: “He was really sweet. The woman he was with did not say much. I think she was a model.”
