What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving this year?

It's my turn to host. I don't mind it really, since I love to cook and entertain guests. Plus when I'm not driving I can have a glass or two of good stuff before the company arrives...to relax me a bit, you understand. It's therapeutic, and keeps me from getting too frazzled and strangling someone(s). Laughing

I'm making a turkey AND a duck this year. Dad and I both love duck, so we'll be tearing into that. Actually, we'll probably be tearing into both. The plan at the moment is to eat, and then lie comatose for the rest of the day.

Right now I'm just trying to declutterize my house before everyone gets here, since it's been a while since I've had company, and I've made bit of a packrat of myself these past few months.

My mother invites everyone she knows who can't cook or doesn't have family to go to, on Thanksgiving. As we are in an apartment complex right now, we use the church across the street to feed everyone.

Well we have no family close so we are going to my best friends house. This year will be different cause her daughter and my son are dating? I'm concerned about that cause if they break up I don't want there to be any problems. I'm making all the desserts.

I just got back from the grocery store about an hour ago, and have most of my Thanksgiving fixin's now....including an 18 pound turkey and a 5 pound duckling. What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving this year? 852437

Now I just have to go out and pick up the white cornmeal so I can make my cornbread from scratch (I don't like sweet cornbread when it comes to stuffing), and some sodas because I'm completely out. Oh, and I have to call my brother. Rolling Eyes

I guess I'm the last to wait for people to come over. Someone just dropped off a fried turkey for our dinner at church today. My parents had to go out for a bit, and are here now.

My sister is too broke to come out here, so we're trying for January instead. I'll have a lot more free time then, too.

Right now, I'm eating and reading the threads. Then I'll go write some porn....err...Erik.

Maybe we could chat later on, after supper/lunch/dinner.
