No! Really? That gives new meaning to haemorrhoids.

I ate turkey once and didn't really like it. Found it dry. Maybe it was cooked for too long.

Anyway .... eat, drink, be merry on Thanksgiving. bounce

Thanks, Nay! I've already started preparing food for Thursday. I made my Mamaw's macaroni and cheese (divine, and not quite like most mac and cheese) and some mashed potatoes last night. And tonight I'm making my Aunt Zora's corn casserole (yummy too) and some Stovetop stuffing (okay, I took the easy route on the stuffing instead of making homemade).

My dad (who's in the turkey business, actually), my dog Hamlet, and I will be going to see my sister and brother in Fayetteville, Arkansas (my hometown area) for Thanksgiving.

Happy Turkey Day, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I'm hosting this year. I bought a 27 lb. turkey. It's going to be family and maybe a friend I invited a few weeks ago. Of course, the friend hasn't called, but I wouldn't put it past him to just show up, especially if there's free food involved. Rolling Eyes

I have one more day of work, then I'm off for 4 days!

I've been battling a 27 lb. turkey since I got home from work this evening. I finally got the wiring out of the bird, stuck my hand down it's butt and discovered a second neckbone. Call me crazy, but I don't think this is normal. Did this turkey have 2 heads???

Turkeys and other birds have gizzards. They use rocks and stones in the gizzards to grind up plant material and food.

Happy post Thanksgiving!
