I'm torn between two responses.

A. Thinking it's quite delightful that the folks of Glasgow are chosen above other European cities, particularly London (and Edinburgh). GB is showing them how special they are to him and acknowledging their place in importance.

B. Thinking this is a wave-my-success-in-your-face moment to people who may still actually not know who he is ... and a reminder to the rest of the world that he is Scottish.

I'd like to think it is the first rather than the second but that he is quietly going under his breath "Neener, neener!"

I personally know two beautiful women that live in Oslo. I'm sure Gerry would go for at least one of them...she's definitely his type. But she's married and has a child, so that might cause some trouble. Come to think of it, I think the other one might have gotten married too. I haven't heard from her in ages.
