| Here's the blog: - Quote :
- I’m glad all that G20 crap is behind us. I don’t mean the actual conference, I mean the bloody stinking hippies protesting against absolutely everything. Climate change, bankers, capitalism, even money in general....
One newspaper ran a story of this mermaid who said she came from the oceans to warn the ‘land creatures’ about the anarchy that rising sea levels will cause. She’s dressed like a bloody mermaid (without going bare-chested I might add) and she wants Obama, Brown and the miscellaneous European sissies to take her seriously.
It’s strange to see that many unwashed, drunk and high people in London that aren’t Aussie, Kiwi or South African backpackers (my bags have wheels, in case you were wondering). If they put on a few bands it would’ve been T in the Park!
My theory is that protesting at the G20 summit is to hippies as Valentine’s Day is to straight men. You really think it’s a pain in the ass, but if you don’t do anything on the day, you’re the anti-christ. Just as it’s passé for a guy to just give a rose, it’s now passé for protestors to just walk down the road shouting stuff.
Unfortunately guys have to buy a 5ft teddy bear, and protesters have smash the windows of an RBS branch. Please.
Ok, my rant is over, now on to last week. Birthdays and functions have kept us busier than usual while Friday and Saturday nights were business as usual. The Clubber of the Week this week is A MAN! I know that has only ever happened twice out of 96 weeks, but it’s true.
Alot of guys are asking me what it takes to become Clubber of the Week . The guy this week was getting a massive amount of attention from the opposite sex, getting lots of photos taken with them; he didn’t get messy and was friendly to all of the staff. I’m not really one to drop names, but even if I was, I’m not even sure how to spell Gerard Butler . Is it one R or two in Gerard?

| Yes, I thought I'd add an acceptance speach since it may be the only one that he ever gets to give. Gerry, get out of the clubs, you bar fly! You really are starting to look like the creepy old guy at the clubs.....
In all seriousness, I wonder if he can help himself? He is becoming a cliche and I wonder if he realizes it or can even stop himself?
Whatever, I just love the whole psychology that is the Butlernator. It's like watching a slow train wreck and I can't help but stare....

| lol, Dallas.
Well, everyone believes he's doing what he knows to be the best, and there are people out there who trust him.
Maybe all the connections go to bars and clubs.

| Maybe he's wanting to "connect" with all the 20-something women. You know, for the Burns project. Mmmhmm...that's it. | |

| I prefer to believe that Gerry has U.B.U. - uncontrollable bar urge. He tries to resist, but it is futile. It is caused by his Scottishness and the beauty of his soul. | |

| eh...bars and pubs are quite different. In pubs in the UK, you go with family and friends. In bars, such as in the US, you go with friends or by yourself in hopes to find friends, or such...

| This doesn't strike me as being a "Quiet Man" like pub. It looks like any other typical nightclub to me. | |

| The Boho bills itself as a club and was named the Scottish Nightclub of the Year last year. It's also located in the West-End. I wouldn't call it a pub either, DK. I think when most people think of a pub, they think of just what Alice described. BTW, pubs in the UK vary, just like bars do here in my experience. The nightclubs there are very similar to clubs anywhere. I went to a lot of both when I was in school there --when I wasn't studying, of course...or in church. | |

| When I was in Europe, we went to the pub every. single. night. It was as common as taking a piss. We wet to eat, to hang out, to do business. After a week, I was so tired of it but to my friends, this is just what you did. Different mentality, I guess. | |
