X17 Xclusive - Jen and Gerard's Romantic Dinner Date

I see they're still milking this for all they can. I wonder why the exclusive photographers didn't get any pictures of them smooching at the table. They were certainly able to get them coming out of the place, and seemed to know what was going on inside.

Aha! We first told you about Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler getting cozy almost exactly a year ago to the day, and it looks like the kissing co-stars STILL have something going on!

Last night Jen and Gerry snuck into Cliff's Edge in Silverlake around 9:30pm, and the lovebirds enjoyed a romantic meal and didn't leave until nearly midnight! X17 photographers on the scene tell X17online exclusively:

"Jen and Gerard sat at a table in a darker area of the restaurant, and they appeared incredibly affectionate with one another. They were kissing, hugging and leaning in to talk to each other for over two hours! They definitely looked like a couple, and when they left, Gerard seemed cool with everything, but Jen made every effort not to be seen!"

When it was time to call it a night, Gerard left in his white Mercedes SL, and a few moments later Jen and her bodyguard emerged, but when Jen slipped into her car, she ducked behind the passenger seat in an attempt to hide from photogs. Jen's boydguard drove her home and Gerard went to another house afterwards, but we're guessing the next time we catch these secret lovers out and about, they'll reunite at Jen's for a sexy slumber party!

So did the bodyguard also eat with them?

More importantly, did they follow Jen to her house and Gerry to someone else's house and that is how they know where they went? That is just wrong.

Hollywood golden girl Jennifer Aniston and The Ugly Truth hunk Gerard Butler stepped out for dinner together Wednesday, continuing to fuel rumors that they are a couple.

Eschewing her traditional Hollywood fave the Sunset Tower, Jennifer had her assistant book the reservation early in the day at Cliff's Edge, a restaurant in the hipster neighborhood Silverlake in Los Angeles and she arrived for dinner with Gerard and four other friends.

"They enjoyed a friendly dinner with each other," the restaurant manager exclusively told RadarOnline.com. Tucked away in the corner of the outdoor patio, the co-stars were overheard discussing the swarm of paparazzi that were outside the restaurant waiting to get a photo of the couple together.

"Jennifer is so lovely, and she and Gerard were not holding hands and I didn't think they were a couple, just friends having dinner together," said the manager. As always, the trim and toned actress dined on her favorite food -- salad -- while the rest of the group sampled the specials of the night.

Jennifer and Gerard have been spending time together off set and RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that the two were stealing kisses between takes while on the set of The Bounty in New York.

Disappointing photographers, Gerard and Jennifer left the restaurant separately. Jennifer's next movie, Love Happens, a rom-com starring Aaron Eckhart hits theaters September 18.

It wasn't a romantic date for two, but Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are clearly enjoying each other's company.

The pair, who sparked romance rumors while filming The Bounty in New York this summer, joined friends for a group dinner at Cliff's Edge restaurant in L.A.'s trendy Silver Lake neighborhood on Sept. 9.

"Jen and Gerard had dinner with friends and they all seemed to enjoy themselves," says a source.

The group of six were seated a candlelit patio – but it was a just-friends evening.

Aniston, in jeans and a tank top, "hugged all the diners in the group and was certainly not spending any special time on Gerard," says the source. "Gerard kept the group entertained with stories and they all shared many laughs."

Adds a second source, "It was not a romantic date, nor did they kiss. They didn't even sit next to each other."

One thing the pair do have in common, according to the restaurant's valet: "Both Jen and Gerard were great tippers!"
