Gerard Butler Likes Long Walks On The Beach

Gerard Butler chats it up with some friends and then goes for a walk on the beach in Malibu on Monday (May 25).

The 39-year-old Scottish actor can be seen this summer in the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth, which will premiere on July 24. The official website’s synopsis: “The battle of the sexes heats up in Columbia Pictures’ comedy The Ugly Truth. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She’s in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.

Earlier this month, Gerard was charged with misdemeanor battery. His attorney, Blair Berk, said he is not required to and will not appear in court on the charge.

Scabby and Spittle

Not together, no. But can you imagine?

They were however both at the beach yesterday in Malibu. Spittle and his weird spittle mouth looking like he’s posing for the paps and the Filthy Canadian Scab in white, as usual, with the man they’re calling her latest – apparently they met at a deluxe trailer park – enjoying Memorial Day Monday.

Scabby is just coming off a trip to Vienna. Those Euros they go crazy for her fake tits. And Spittle, well Spittle just spent some time in India, very low key, said to be visiting his supposed girlfriend Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra. He also hung out with the Slumdog kids – photos here.

I met someone in Cannes who spent a few days with him there. All credit to Spittle, apparently he couldn’t be sweeter, was very charitable, and abstained from alcohol always.

Spittle can next be seen in The Ugly Truth, opening July 24th, with the Crown Princess of AssTalk herself Katherine Heigl. The trailer is below. Did Kate Hudson pass on this one? Shocking.

It was reported that they were trying to get foriegn distributors for LAC at Cannes. So I expected him to be there, but I am surprised it wasn't reported elsewhere and that there weren't any pics.
Maybe he wasn't in India as long as people think he was.

Spittle? He made it to Cannes a little bit..

Unless the film is up for competition, it usually isn't going to have much publicity.

I wasn't refering to publicity on the film, but to pics of Butler or at least a mention of him being there in some random Cannes coverage or news item. There were tons of pics of celebrities in attendance (even those without a film to promote). I'm surprised he didn't jump in front of one of those cameras! Very Happy

Good grief, you are correct. That was poorly worded - or maybe I was just skimming too fast. That makes more sense.
It does beg the question who went to Cannes to handle the LAC distribution rights. I wonder if Alan would be involved as a partner in Evil Twins or if those types of things are handled by The Film Department or Overture Films...

It seemed like Cannes happened without much fanfare this year.
Or maybe I just didn't pay much attention.

Unless someone though is going to parties or red carpet, you didn't see people out and about in Cannes this year. I know of a few who went, to promote their films but you didn't hear anything about them.
