Gerard Butler Visits the Village Idiot

Gerard Butler is all smiles as he exits The Village Idiot restaurant in Hollywood on Wednesday (May 20).

The 39-year-old actor was apparently so caught up in smiling for the cameras that he got into his car and attempted to leave without his keys that the valet tried to give him.

Last week, Gerard was charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly getting into a scuffle with a paparazzo. Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman said he faces up to six months in jail if convicted. Gerard’s manager, Alan Siegel, said that the actor was forced to have his driver stop the car after a paparazzo repeatedly sped through red lights and almost hit two pedestrians.

I'm going to go out on a lonely limb here .............. and say he looks semi-good, calm, smooth skin, clear eyes and a genuine smile.

Weight has dropped seemingly. Maybe the Ganges belly curse did happen after all.

I have to say, he's looking better than he has in a long time. Probably the best he's looked since I joined the fandom.

I know, it's crazy over at JJ (and very entertaining). The pics are of him exiting a restuarant alone, and then someone wonders if he was dining with a girlfriend and left her inside to hook up later. Then the supposition turns to "facts", and before you know it everyone is talking about "the girlfriend" he left behind in the restaurant. Who is she? Is she a steady, a fling, a FWB, etc.? What does this girlfriend think about being kept under wraps? etc etc etc....

But the funny and crazy thing is, he's alone in the pictures...no proof or mention by JJ of a girl or a guy or anyone with him. I guess they don't think the guy ever dines alone?
