| From Miss Malini
So GQ’s Wednesday Bar Night at Olive is turning out to be quite the hotspot! In fact I have to say I’m pretty impressed with how they manage to pull off stylish soirees on a regular basis without ever compromising on class (this also means they always have Redbull at the open bar which I truly appreciate.) Remember the launch party? That was super hip. Plus the magazine has had my heart throb Aamir Khan on the cover (with a pretty well crafted interview inside) and their first bar night was a roaring success. (Maxim eat your heart out. Although I had a conversation with Alex Kuruvilla yesterday and he pointed out that there was actually no magazine (in the same league) that really compares, I guess that’s fair. Its also true that guys actually read this stuff (when they’re not flipping through Cosmo that is) so they’re clearly on to something.
In a blur of heat (and the distinct aroma of horses) I spotted Gerard Butler (remember I told you he was in town?) While the boys commented (with some degree of satisfaction) that “he really isn’t as jacked as he looks in 300″ he spent most of his night getting oodles of attention from members of the female persuasion (and clearly loving every minute of it.) Tarana Raja Kapoor had a funny exchange with him about having dubbed for the Queen in the Hindi version of 300 to which he replied with a snarky “So how was I in bed in the Hindi version?” Another popular face at the party turned out to be good ‘ol Shantaram Gregory David Roberts who flashed me a friendly smile unlike the slightly grumpier Mr. Butler! Amrit Maghera pulled of the whole “barbie” ensemble with a straight face and managed her first Hollywood scoop for After Hours with a satisfied grin on her face, (Nina Manuel’s stilettos can’t have been easy to fill!) Meanwhile Narendra Kumar Ahmed looked like he’s been working out although he kept joking with me that he was just holding his stomach in. (Man if you could teach some of us girls to do that we’d never work out!) Uday Benegal also appeared out of nowhere much to the delight of some long time fans and friends and Bandana Tewari zipped around with the kind of dynamite energy I’m praying to God I still possess post parenthood!
Not like I was saving the best for last but just when you thought (based on his relatively normal attire at the last GQ bar night) that Yash Birla had finally retired his futuristic wardrobe and any moment now was gonna do a big fat “gotcha!” on the paparazzi (who remain mystified but trigger happy) perhaps even admitting that he had been kidding all along he shows up in this psychadelic tee shirt which could possible be the ugliest shirt in the world. Challengers?

| Alright, so he's still in India. I have NEVER commented how he looks in pics...except in a pervy way....but I gotta say it this time. He looks exhausted. In all seriousness, a tropical beach for a week would do him a world of good...soul searching shouldn't zap your energy. (I'm looking at the inside, folks....I do that sometimes) | |

This leaped out at me. Why snarky? Pourquoi??

| Well she did say he was grumpy. I'm not sure that hopping from one party and/or bar to another qualifies as soul searching...even when it's done with a backpack in another country. Parties are parties, and bars are bars. I seriously doubt he's trying to get in touch with his soul...at least not this time around. | |

| Inner peace isn't a physical place, so he won't find that traveling around the world.
He's probably scouting for projects and networking....that's my guess. I don't care what the tabloids say. He's got new projects on his mind.

This leaped out at me. Why snarky? Pourquoi?? And leave it to Gerry to turn a conversation around to something sexual......about himself .

| Gerard Butler at GQ Magazine Event at Olive in Mumbai May 07 2009 19:35 PST
Scottish actor Gerard Butler (This is Sparta!!!) seems to be a regular around India now. He has been on a tour of the country this past month and it's obvious that he has taken a liking to India as many others have before him. He's been spending the last couple of weeks hanging around with some of the hottest Bollywood stars around. In fact Gerard Butler has had such an effect on them, that they've even been throwing some posh parties in his honor so he can schmooze and be welcomed to India Bollywood style!
Well apparently Gerard Butler just can't get enough of the social life in Mumbai that he was once again spotted at the latest GQ Magazine party hosted at Olive. He was seen once again with celebrities galore! And you better believe that there were some pretty hot women standing in line to meet the sexy actor. And here we thought he left India this past Saturday!
The GQ Magazine outdoor party was an event filled with sexy celebrities and lots of fun. Besides Gerard Butler, just a few of the celebrities that came out included Karisma Tanna, Narendra Kumar, Tarana, Yash Birla, Gautam Singhania, and Siddharth Kannan. Gerard Butler seemed right at home at the GQ event and was seen making the rounds chatting it up with all of the guests.
So we want to know what our readers think about Gerard Butler being spotted all over Mumbai. Do you think that it's kind of cool that someone from Hollywood has shown such an interest and has gotten so involved with the Bollywood social circle? Or do you think that it's kind of weird that Gerard Butler just can't seem to make it back home? We want to know what our readers think about Gerard Butler showing up at parties like GQ Magazine's event.

| Maybe, but then again I have no clue who any of these Bollywood people are they keep fawning over and talking about. If it hadn't been for all of the news with Gerry, I'd have no freaking clue who Priyanka is, for that matter. I guess there's something to be said for anonyminity. At least he can probably walk about without being attacked by paparazzi. Welcome to the world of anonyminity, Butler. You're just an average Joe there, aren't you? | |

Are you SURE about this? ALL kinds? And yes, I do believe nuns know what they are talking about when they talk about hell, as they have to study and all.
