I'm just asking people to vote if there's no one else they admire. Gerry's nowhere on the list this time.

You're right, they are both very talented.

| I've been waiting to see if the press takes this idea and run with it. Michael's father is a chef and Michael grew up learning a few things here and there.

Michael Fassbender’s rack of lamb
The Inglourious Basterds star shares with us his recipe for a rack of lamb — because basterds eat meat
BY Michael Fassbender August 19, 2009 21:08
Ingredients: 2 pieces of lamb racks, trimmed 8 cloves of peeled garlic 1 stem of fresh rosemary 2 tbsp. honey salt and pepper to taste
Method: What I do with my lamb is first, salt and pepper the fat, chop up some garlic and rub it into the fat. I add a little bit of honey, sear it off into the pan and then whack the whole thing into a hot oven. [EYE WEEKLY recommends a 350°F temperature]. Leave the lamb in there for 15 to 20 minutes with a little sprig of rosemary on top — and then you’re done. It’s great because all the juices cook through the seasoning, so it’s both tender and moist.

Band of Brothers will be showing on SpikeTV, starting this weekend. It's fun to see if you can find your favorite actors in the show.

Sorry if it's already been posted! Unfortunately I can't make it clicky! Edited to say it's making itself clicky, how cool!

It hasn't been posted on the Pantry, although I posted almost every where else...lol! Thanks!
Been a while since I've been here...two months?
I actually have a forum for Michael, too, which has been keeping me very busy since I opened it in late Sept.
Right now I'm in class, finishing up some editing for our film festival tomorrow. More than likely, I won't be online all day.
But on the days I'm home, I'll be watching Hunger on Comcast's OnDemand for free. Nice to see Fassbenderwender on my own tv.

| I've been having so much fun with Gman lately, forgot about this...uh, not really.
First of all, congrats to Michael and the gang for winning a SAG award for best ensemble in Inglourious Basterds.
Second, MFO is celebrating Michael's birthday this year, by having charity fundraiser and sending birthday wishes. I'm mainly here to mention that if you'd like to send Michael birthday wishes, please either log on to MFO's forum if you are a member, or email them to michaelfassbenderonline1@gmail.com by Saturday, March 6, 2010. MFO will gather them and put them together to be sent to Michael for his birthday on April 2, 2010.
Funny thing though, Wondercon in SF is April 2-4, 2010 and I have good authority that something for his movie, Jonah Hex, is going to be there. We just don't know if the studios will fly Mr Fassbenderwender out from the UK where he should be filming Jane Eyre.

| Yeah, I've been dealing with this the whole week everywhere. Didn't think it was that big a deal to the Gman fans. If it was, we do have fansites for Michael.
First, the girl has done this before...restraining order with another guy.
I don't believe Michael would harm her. I don't believe he would harm anyone.
There are too many holes in the story, but for every filing of legal action, there is a story behind it.
Michael's been out of the country since Nov/Dec except when he spent Jan in NY to promote his film. He hasn't been back to L.A. for anything except the SAG awards. She lives in L.A.
She has children by the one of the guys who produced Inglourious Basterds, and that ex was going to be sued by Michael for defamation back in 08, when Michael and she started dating.
Look up Leasi Andrews, her 'show' name. She's a model and has dated several other actors.
I think if Michael had a big problem with the juice, we would have heard about it before. Things like this don't suddenly happen. There's usually a history.
We haven't heard anything from Michael yet. I'm sure he is being advised what to say and what not to say, or his people are. He just started filming or pre production of Jane Eyre this week.
Any more questions, let me know.

| I only know what I've seen and met Michael once at TIFF, and I can say I could sense no violent tendencies from him whatsoever. In fact, he came across as a very gentle individual.
He has been in long term relationships before, has a lot of associates, friends, etc....where there's smoke there's usually fire, yet I've never heard nothing of this kind about him before this one accusation. Personally, I think it's a case of revenge, or maybe she's a psycho ex.
I found that story when trying to find news on Michael when it first came out, Googled her name and found that she had already done a restraining order on another person. Not only that, but why wait 8-9 months to file it? Something seems very fishy to me.

'Inglourious Basterds' Star Victorious Over GF
Posted Apr 6th 2010 1:32PM by TMZ Staff
An "Inglourious Basterds" star didn't even have to put up a fight against his former girlfriend who filed a petition for a restraining order against him -- today she folded like a cheap suit.
Sunawin Andrews asked an L.A. County Superior Court judge this AM to dismiss her petition for a restraining order against actor Michael Fassbender.
Andrews filed incendiary legal docs last month, claiming Fassbender threw her over a chair and broke her nose after a night of heavy boozing.
But today Andrews took it all back, dismissing her petition and her claims.

| DK, you might like this news:
http://theplaylist.blogspot.com/2010/10/martin-freeman-set-to-play-bilbo.html
10/16/2010 Martin Freeman Set To Play Bilbo Baggins, James Nesbitt Offered Role And Michael Fassbender & David Tennant Being Pursued For 'The Hobbit'
After months and months of speculation and innuendo, it's taken a mere few hours after being greenlit for word about casting to spill for Peter Jackson's much troubled, long anticipated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit."
Deadline are reporting that British television star Martin Freeman ("The Office," "Sherlock") is set to take up the iconic role of Bilbo Baggins with James Nesbitt already offered an unnamed role and Michael Fassbender and David Tennant currently begin pursued. The cast is currently expected to see Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis return in their original roles as Gandalf and Gollum.
Freeman has been long linked to the role and, most recently, rued the missed opportunity to take the role due to scheduling conflicts with his BBC modern reimagining of the 'Sherlock Holmes' tale. It seems like those very conflicts are being worked out, freeing the actor up for the no doubt life changing role.
Nesbitt, on the other hand, has already reportedly received an offer to join the film in an unnamed role while Tennant -- who saw rumors linking him with the role of Bilbo for years -- may eventually join the project even if in another role should the reported initial interest come through. The actor is slowly finding his way across the Atlantic after playing the iconic titular character in "Doctor Who" for years and will be seen in Craig Gillespie's "Fright Night" remake next year.
Fassbender has already been fast tracking his way to Hollywood stardom after groundbreaking roles in "Hunger," "Fish Tank" and "Inglourious Basterds" but joining "The Hobbit" would definitely take him to the next level. Like Tennant though, whether the early interest follows through remains to be seen but, either way, an exciting future lies ahead for the actor who'll be seen starring in Cary Fukunaga's "Jane Eyre" along side Mia Wasikowska, David Cronenberg's "A Dangerous Method" with former Middle Earther Viggo Mortensen and Matthew Vaughn's star-studded "X-Men: First Class."
News of the casting developments comes almost immediately after the project finally earned the greenlight from the studio (via a deal between Warner Bros. and MGM), firming February 2011 as the start date with Peter Jackson officially at the helm and gunning for a Christmas 2012 and 2013 3D release date. And despite the recent production troubles Jackson has faced with the New Zealand unions over working conditions, a resolution is expected in the next week or two with Warner Bros. already making plans to move the production if required. Any significant plan change like that, though, will likely throw another curveball at the already troubled production; hopefully Jackson and New Zealand film authorities can settle their differences.

| I just read this about PROMETHEUS and thought I would share. If it has already been posted, then please excuse me. I don't keep up with this thread:
http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=35976
-Charlize Theron has officially signed on to Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS, joining Noomi Rapace (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO) and Michael Fassbender (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS) in the Fox sci-fi epic. [Variety]
While the studio, director and writer Damon Lindelof ("Lost") have publicly claimed PROMETHEUS had transformed into something original intstead of the initially intended ALIEN prequel, Fassbender tells MTV it's still set in the same movie universe: "Oh, absolutely. There's a definite connecting vein. You realize you're part of something else, but it's definitely in keeping with the old [ALIEN movies]."

| There hasn't been a post since Oct '10, so it's new news here.
Not that there hasn't been any news since then. I've been really, really busy keeping up with his news this year. Not complaining, nor apologizing.
Let's see....Jane Eyre comes out in March.
X-men comes out in June.
Two more films are to come out this year-A Dangerous Method-about the relationship between Jung, Freud and Sabine, and Haywire-an ensemble cast.
Michael's back to work with the director of "Hunger" for a film in NYC right now.
THEN he'll be working on Prometheus. He was doing press promos last week for Jane Eyre, just in time to be asked all about X-men and Prometheus.
He's also rumored to be involved with Camelot with Ritchie, but nothing's set.
Here's part of the interview for Prometheus:
