I don't know about the rest of you, but I think just reading this little blurb makes life just a little more worthwhile... Rolling Eyes

"Law-Abiding Citizen" gearing up

The psychological thriller "Law-Abiding Citizen" is due to start before the cameras Jan. 21 or thereabouts.

Stars Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler have just arrived and today had lunch at Parc on Rittenhouse Square with director F. Gary Gray. They called in their orders beforehand: trout amandine, shrimp salad, and a half roasted chicken plus orders of seared spinach and a side of haricots vert. As two bodyguards stood nearby, those within earshot heard Butler talk about having to ask his mum for childhood photos for the film. Butler picked up the tab. (Butler was snagged by TMZ.com last night at 30th Street Station.)

This project has been an adventure. Director Frank Darabont was attached to it, and then he dropped out over the summer. Sometime recently, casting changes flipped the roles that Foxx and Butler would play. The plot: A district attorney orchestrates a plea bargain that sets free the killers of another man's family and then the agrieved victim seeks personal justice from the D.A. Now, Foxx will play the DA and Butler plays the vigilante. The trades have identified other cast members as Michael Gambon, Leslie Bibb, Colm Meaney and Theresa Randle.

OMG OMG OMG!! Gerry ate trout and shrimp???? I'm in heaven! What's a haricots vert, though? Is that green beans for the non-peasant folk???

Okay, now they really need to report when he takes a crap. I really need to know that too. Rolling Eyes

BTW...I had a Big Mac and fries for lunch, but I didn't call ahead. Just thought y'all might want to know.

I can see it now...tomorrow's headline in the Philly Insider:

"Gerard Butler Gets Food Poisoning from Eating Half Roasted Cock"

Then of course there's the usual picture blurb...of Gerry wearing his cock hat.

Good grief.....what is next? Gerry picks his nose?
Actually, I would probably find that entertaining.

It's really sad that the thing that jumped out at me when I read this blog was that Gerry picked up the check.

I know, I know! I shouldn't buy into sterotypes i.e. Scots are cheap, but come on!! It's funny!!!!

I forgot to comment on the childhood pics. Once they are out there, I wonder if the fansites will add them to their sites? Doesn't he request that they don't put family photos and childhood photos up? Hmmmmm, what will they do? A dilemma for King Solomon.....

Also, who wants to bet that Butler bites it in this movie?

Yes, you probably are, Tex. Can I have your rings?

Unfortunately, I do find this story a bit of a giggle. I loathe, hate, detest, absolutely abhore green beans. I'm a simple 'pea' girl all the way.

I may in the minority but I'll state here and now that I wouldn't like to see childhood photos of GB. That would be crossing a line for me.

King Solomon, huh? Does that mean they have to cut the childhood pics in half and only show one half of them on the sites?

LOL!

It's Gerry's production this time. If his character bites the bullet in this one, he has no one to blame but himself. Wink

Did ya'll see this? There's also pics.

http://gnkang.com/?p=3549

We heard that author Stephen King was in the building and at another table, Gerard Butler was dining with the director of a new movie he’s filming in Philadelphia called, “Law Abiding Citizen.” We happened to finish dinner around the same time and as we were leaving, he was nice enough to take a picture with us. He told me he’s going to be in town for a couple more months but wasn’t sure exactly. Then the director turned and said, “how ever long it takes to finish it, we’ll be here.”

If this little anecdote is true, it sounds like the Director is in charge. Nice work, boyo.

But he may have his work cut out for him keeping GB in line and on time!
