Actor Gerard Butler buys his own set of wheels for his Sydney stay
THREE weeks after arriving in Australia, Hollywood heartbreaker Gerard Butler was looking every bit the honorary citizen this week as he shopped for his own set of wheels for his Sydney stay.
The 44-year-old is here to star in Alex Proyas’ $150 million blockbuster Gods of Egypt, currently in pre-production at Fox Studios and also starring Geoffrey Rush.
Butler arrived weeks early for the shoot to start working with dialect coaches and training for what he has described as a “massive” project.
He will play the God of Chaos, Set, in the mythical tale.
This week he took time out to slip into a Paddington bike shop to buy a specialised bike to help him get around Fox Studios and the eastern suburbs during his expected three-month stay.
Earlier the Scottish actor lunched with crew members
at Icebergs.
The Ugly Truth actor, who is best known for his love affairs with actors including Jennifer Aniston, is believed to be staying in a property near Moore Park.
A trained lawyer, Butler turned to acting in the 1990s and has made a name for himself playing a man’s man.
