Bradley Cooper & Gerard Butler Become Best Friends At Wimbledon, Snap Selfies

Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler got themselves all cleaned up today to head out to the All England Club and watch Andy Murray finally bring joy to all of Great Britain (Especially his peeps in Scotland. Mary Queen of Scots 4-eva!) by becoming the first native son to win the Wimbledon singles title since Fred Perry in 1936. Props Andy!

But enough about that kid and his accomplishments.

We are far more excited about the above photo that shows Coop and But taking a selfie. It makes sense, especially as the boys are looking so dapper, and you know how those Hollywood types are with their egos, but we were really hoping at first that the boys were sharing salacious photos, preferably ones involving Coop’s possibly crazy ex Renee Zellweger. We also for a second imagined the boys might be daytime drunk texting Jennifer Lawrence, or better yet snapchatting, but that’s definitely out of the question as both men are sober.

Anyhow, looking good gents.

Oh, that's awkward.

You know what, who are we kidding? Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler are never anything but adorable, even if they happen to have been wearing very similar blazers to the final match of Wimbledon 2013.

It certainly didn't bother the boys any, because they enthusiastically cheered on Andy Murray (we're assuming), took some cell phone selfies, and even hugged out their excitement. Yes, you read that correctly. Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler hugged it out while wearing nearly identical blazers. Boys night out was in full effect.

The boys were in good company during the match, as they sat in the Royal Box just behind the Duke of Kent and Victoria Beckham.

Today's Wimbledon final has attracted a host of high profile faces, from Victoria Beckham and the Rooneys to Prime Minister David Cameron, Labour leader Ed Miliband and Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond.

How many times did they cut to those two yesterday during the Murray-Djokovic match? I would have preferred more focus on Victoria Beckham. We’ll get to her later. If I had the time, I’d watch the entire final again just to count the Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler shots vs the Kim Sears shots. Kim Sears I can deal with. Kim Sears I might even be a little obsessed with. Dog portraits? With the occasional strawberry canvas thrown in? Please. Do we know anything else about this girl?

As for Coop and Spittle, well, it was a proper tennis bromance played out at the All England club in complementary suits. There was synchronised cheering – check out that first shot of them! They’re the new Doug and Steve, the Roxbury Guys! There was co-anxiety. There was co-elation. There was some selfie-taking. And, of course, there are the GIFs.

Amazingly, Coop’s jacket and pants were not completely soaked by saliva by the time it was all over. Murray mercifully kept it to three sets.

Gerard Butler 'had no idea Bradley Cooper Wimbledon selfie went viral'

Gerard Butler has expressed surprise that a photograph of himself and Bradley Cooper posing for a self-portrait at the Wimbledon men's singles final has gone viral.

The two actors were in the crowd for Andy Murray's first Wimbledon victory on Sunday, where Cooper was seen taking a 'selfie' of the pair on his smartphone. The image was shared repeatedly on Twitter in the aftermath of the game.

When asked if he knew that the photograph had gone viral, Butler told Digital Spy and other journalists at the Novak Djokovic Foundation gala dinner: "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't go on the internet, so I don't know what [a 'selfie'] is."

The 300 star also joked about the duo's matching suits, saying: "Bradley and I are friends. [The matching outfits] was coincidence. It was a little embarrassing. We didn't mention it at the time.

"We gave each other a hug, then looked down and went, 'Oh, s**t'."

Jeremy Piven, who also attended the final and Monday's dinner, added: "I love both of them, they're both great guys and they appreciate the attention.

"They were wearing powder blue outfits, they looked like they were groomsmen - they are the dream."

Cooper was joined by his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse for Murray's victory, while celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Wayne and Coleen Rooney, Sir Chris Hoy and Ronnie Wood were also watching on at Center Court.
