Gerard Butler - Gerard Butler Halted Magazine Interview To Tend To Injured Pal
Gerard Butler turned hero during a recent magazine interview when he came to the aid of an injured pal during an all-terrain vehicle adventure in Louisiana.
The Scottish action man had just treated Men's Journal contributor Josh Ellis to a helicopter ride over his rented estate near the set of new movie Olympus Has Fallen in Shreveport when a friend suggested a sunset wilderness trip on four-wheel drive buggies.
Game Butler jumped on and took off through nearby woods, but his fun was short-lived after his friend's son-in-law's vehicle hit a tree stump and he took a nasty tumble.
The 300 star leaped from his four-wheeler, called 911 and then took over, urging the injured man, named Mike, to lie still.
Butler also hurled the "offending tree stump" into a nearby lake and scratched Mike's ankle when he complained he was getting bitten by mosquitoes.
Ellis reports they later discovered Mike had broken his collarbone, cracked three ribs and was suffering from a partially collapsed lung.
