AT the premiere of his latest bloodthirsty effort, Coriolanus, Gerard Butler admits it takes him a while to shake off the “aggressive” state he gets into to perform fight scenes.
Butler, 42, plays Shakespearien enemy Tullus Aufidius in Ralph Fiennes’s directorial debut and says that flexing his muscles in film battles leaves him hungry for more.
“While you’re doing it you feel aggressive and put yourself in an aggressive frame of mind,” says Butler, who has previously starred in 300 and Machine Gun Preacher.
“In any movie I’ve done that has combat in it I was on edge for a lot of it. It’s a good place to be actually, I hate to say it.”
