GERARD BUTLER - BUTLER INVITED TO RESOLVE PAPARAZZO 'FIGHT'

Actor GERARD BUTLER has been given the chance to resolve his recent fight with a paparazzo without facing criminal charges.

The Scottish star stands accused of beating up a photographer who followed him as he left a Los Angeles bar last month (Oct08).

The snapper was reportedly treated in hospital for the injuries he suffered.

According to TMZ.com, Butler, who has yet to discuss the allegations, has been ordered to attend an informal hearing at the City Attorney's office, the goal of which is to resolve the issue without a messy court battle.

I really thought this thing was put to rest.

Perhaps the wank scumbag's lawyer saw or read about the soiree in Dubai and realized that G may be wealthier than they thought.

I'm torn, wondering if he should just pay the scumbag a settlement, or tell his side to the judge.

Whatever happens, I wish G much luck (and support).

If Gerry said specifically that the charges were dropped I'm going with that. His knowledge of the law even if it is UK or Scottish law, he would be aware of what the charges being dropped would mean and he wouldn't have talked about the case if they had not been dismissed. I could have hurt his case. Besides I know Gerry is a good actor but looking innocent is quite the stretch for him!

You got a point there Joy, I'm as well sure that he is versed enough with U.S. law to not say something like charges being dropped to only have a hearing a few weeks later.
But hey, rumours keep the industry alive!!!
