Giving Gerry Butler a copy of my manuscript, "Life After Phantom: Opera Erotica" GerryinRolls3-2-07LENOMeholdingtheP

In March 2007 I gave Gerry Butler a copy of my unpublished manuscript. (it was Copyrighted but not published.) It was in Burbank, CA in a crowd of fans after the Leno Show. He drove up in a black Classic Rolls Royce. (image above)

He and I had a brief encounter and conversation about my gift to him, my novel. It was Gerry's performance as the Phantom that inspired me to write my novel. That's why I wanted to give him a copy. Gerry said nobody had ever written a book for him, and he would definitely read it and be in touch. I never heard from him, but I believe he read my novel.

Three weeks after I gave Gerry a copy of my manuscript, he made an appearance on The Conan OBrien Show. It's when "300" was premiering (and since then has become very famous).

That night for the first time, Gerry talked about the "Point of No Return" song in POTO the movie. In the past talking about it had been taboo, a subject that he avoided, I was told, because that role was very emotional for him, especially the last scene in the lair. That's what I and others heard, and he never talked about those last scenes PONR, DOM, etc.

However, that night on the Conan Show, Gerry made some very funny comments about PONR, which he had never done before. He even said Joel made him wear a padded buttox to look more sexy. Gerry also comically said a lengthy bit about shaving his groin. The conversation was really funny sexy hilarious!

When the show was over, friends phoned me. The things Gerry said that night made me and other friends think Gerry read my novel, because the subjects he chose to talk about were also directly related to the story in my novel. You would understand if you read the book.

Specifically beginning with the scene in "Point of No Return", and in another chapter, shaving 'down there'. There is a very funny scene about Erik 'shaving'. When Gerry made jokes about those particular subjects, I was sure he'd read my novel. I can only hope!

I really hope Gerry gets to read the Published version, it's so much better. Recently, I sent him a fan letter telling him I would send him a copy of my novel, but I need to know where to send it. The address I have for him is one that's C/O a woman handling his fan mail. I won't send it without hearing from him first, because if I did, he probably wouldn't get it.

I don't expect to get a reply, but it would be great if I did. I know Gerry would enjoy reading the published version of my novel. The title on the manuscript was not exactly the same as the Published version. This is the title now:

Forgot to say, Gerry also got out of the car to give autographs and pictures. He signed 2 photos for me and before he left, gave me a hug.

Someday I'd love to talk to him about my book after he's read the published version.
Maybe I'll get lucky...I hope so! I love you

The things Gerry said 3 weeks later on the Conan OBrien Show made me and other friends think he read my novel, because the subjects he chose to talk about were directly related to the story. You would understand if you read the book.

Anyway, I just wanted to elaborate a little more on that. Wink

I also forgot to mention, it was Gerry's performance as the Phantom that inspired me to write my novel. That's why I wanted to give him a copy of my book. Smile

EDIT: I added this information in my first comment.

So you don't get the wrong impression from the 'shaved groin' remarks, I wanted to add...

My novel is not all erotica. It's filled with plots and sub-plots that have nothing to do with erotica. The love scenes take place only between the two main characters. The erotica doesn't impede the storyline in any way. There's nothing kinky, but there's a lot of sizzling hot surprises that men and women love! I love you
