Gerard Butler is a fan favorite

Don’t believe everything you read! (Unless if you read it on here of course!) It has come to our attention that other media outlets have been talkin’ some smack about our boy Gerard Butler and you know we can’t have that.

One of our lovely readers Diane who like us has major Butlerphilia, had the pleasure of visiting the set of the new movie Machine Gun Preacher on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010. She reported fans had a bit of a wait on their hands since shooting was underway but once Gerry made it out to the crowd he was very sweet and made special time for the children who wanted to meet him.

Diane, who runs a dedicated fansite for him called Weirdly Obsessive Gerard Butler Fans, carried a bright sign that sure got the hunky stars attention! Even though he was meant to get back to work, he took the time to give her and her daughter a hug and pose for some pictures.

What a doll!

Now if only he would have to come shoot a new movie in Miami!
