"Machine Gun Preacher" on Sam Childers' amazing work saving orphans of Sudan.
I have spent the last two years shooting it in South Sudan, Uganda, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and California.
It truly is an amazingly inspiring story.

Sebastian Roche has produced a very sensitive yet powerful doco on the Machine Gun Preacher. It is impossible to look at those young faces and into those old eyes and not feel a pull deep within your heart. It is a story that NEEDS to be told.

I recently read a book that touched on the 'work' of Joseph Kony and his army of children. He lives in Uganda and crosses into Sudan to steal his troops and murder any resistance - all in the Lord's name. More horrifingly, he steals young girls to spawn his next generation of fighters.

Kony has a Messiah complex and undoubted mental illness but, in a more disturbing twist, seems to be protected by government officials.

Google Betty Bigombe everyone. Her story should be next.

PS. Butler better not screw this up. It is too important.

Yes, while I was working on that, unfortunately due to certain circumstances, the subject of my documentary was actually extremely difficult to work with, and decided to do his own documentary! I was kind of evicted from my own documentary, which is unfortunate. Luckily, some of the footage of my documentary will be aired in the end credits of the movie with Gerard Butler (titled 'Machine Gun Preacher'). These things happen!

Who knows? He makes it sound like it maybe was for circumstantial reasons, not necessarily his personality. Plus, there are two sides to every story. But who really knows anyway?
