Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler have cooled off noticeably since romance rumors surrounded the debut of their new film, "The Bounty Hunter."
Fox411 spies were behind the scenes at the premiere party Tuesday night for the film at Tao in New York City, and saw the two stars miles apart, with Gerard chatting up lots of ladies.
"Gerard was surrounded all night long," said our eyewitness. "There were many women with him at all times. He was living it up, the center of attention, but Jen was long gone, early in the night. She made her appearance at the premiere and disappeared quickly to relax and spend time with her friends."
Indeed when it comes to partying, the two could not be more different, says our snitch.
"They are two different people when it comes to these events. Gerry loves meeting fans and schmoozing with studio heads. Jen is uncomfortable around so many people, so she arranged for a quieter night and private dinner after the red carpet work was done."
And while Butler travels with an entourage, they have specific instructions when it comes to attractive women.
"Gerry still travels with a full team of bodyguards when he's working on a film. He had a few guards with him at the party, just to make sure no fans got too excited, but he doesn't let them stop him from meeting his female fans," our spy witnessed. "The bodyguards are instructed to allow fans in and especially pretty women, they are only there for protection if someone gets overly excited and Gerry signals for help. He thrives on the attention and he has never had a problem he couldn't handle."
Now that the movie promoting is ending, Butler won't have to continuously watch what he says about Jennifer, a source tells Fox411.
"He had fun working with Jen and they will remain great friends, but he's ready to move on to the next film."
