Is it a sci-fi gathering, Donna?

Other than your Steve Bacic, I do not know one of those attendees. A few look vaguely familiar but I can't place them in a show/movie.

John de Lancie was Q in Star Trek the Next Generation.
Tony Amendola is a character actor who's been in tons of stuff.

The rest are B-list or lower TV scifi actors and directors, all of whom have done something Stargatey.

The first part of the sentence above will come back to bite me.

I'm not going to this based on any actor's popularity list. After all, I have seen firsthand what Hollywood "popularity" does to actors (as well as fandoms).... Wink

I'm going because I enjoy the conventions, the atmosphere of the conventions, and (most of all) spending time with some old friends who I haven't seen in a few years.

Personally, and nothing against Gerry or this fandom, but I need a break from all of "this"....after three years of it, frankly, I'm tired. If anyone's interested in going, I have a room with two double beds. Vancouver is a wonderful city, and I'm looking forward to going.

Don't tempt me. Besides, I'd need my own room in a different city.

I'm not going. Been to Vancouver before. Y'all have fun!

Barring something unforeseen, two weeks from now I should be in Vancouver. I'm really looking forward to it! I love Vancouver.

I bought 1500 ml of booze, only to realize I can only take 1140 mL into Canada without paying duty tax.

I guess I could always drink some of it before carting it in.

I do want to add that 750 mL of the booze is a gift to someone....and the other 750 mL is to share between 3 people. Wink

It's too late to mail it there. They would probably find it in your bra. Sneaking it across the border at night is a no-no. Disguising it as mouthwash lacks class, and that size bottle is a bit big for perfume.

Hawaii-- no. Anywhere else--very likely.

Hum-----on seconed thought--- Except maybe Vegas.

Now I see coconut bras, grass skirts, and huge sparkly feather headdresses. And tails.

With all the First Nation folk up in Vancouver, all the feathers might blend right in.
