Gerard Butler and a gal pal go on a date together at the Santa Monica Pier arcade on Monday night on Ocean Front Walk, Calif.

The 38-year-old Scottish star and his probable new lady love had a blast, laughing and smiling the whole time. The pair played a game of air hockey together and other fun arcade games. Looks like the twosome won quite a few games from the number of prizes tickets they’re holding!

TMZ has a video of the couple kissing. Gerry may have snagged himself a gorgeous one!

The idea of night out at an arcade sounds like fun but some of the comments floating around put a very sceptical spin on this.

There's a lot of nasty people out there that seem to have a problem with the man having a woman in his life.
It's not like he's dating Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan damn it! The girl looks sweet, natural and simple!

On the other hand, for a man who is so private with his personal life, the video was quite the exhibition...but then again, maybe he has had a change of heart and doesn't care whether he's seen in public or not.

Yes, we will be allowed to talk about it here. As long as it's kept respectful, I don't see why not. I mean, for crying out loud, the man isn't a monk or a priest. When I'm spotted with a man, I don't expect people to go all "hush hush, we can't talk about it" on me. I'll tell them my damn self I was on a date.

Wow! Gerry went out on a date! How totally......normal!!

I thought it was kind of wierd that he only seemed to be surrounded by professional staff, Alan, and/or random club people.
