Lionsgate has done something very strange to promote Gerard Butler’s new action movie Gamer. The film takes place in a future where prisoners are forced to play in a deadly war game where their movements are controlled by players. The trailer below takes that concept, sets it to a techno beat, and then goes all Max Headrom with it.
They’re calling it Gamer: The Remix Trailer. While I’m not entirely sure I endorse the remixing, it does contain some pretty great looking footage from the film. Check out the remix trailer for Gamer below:

Good grief, it looks like a dance clip now. But that may have the bonus of making it a little more unique and memorable against its competition.

I saw that trailer and thought it was some random person who made it. I didn't know it was an official thing until I read that article.
I found it annoying. I think this movie might be my kind of movie and I'll probably see it in the theater. But if this remix trailer was the only trailer that I ever saw on this movie....I would pass.

I like dance music...and club music...but that was annoying...
