I'm Not Going....

To the TUT premiere.....

I've thought long and hard about it....yes, hard....and I'm going to stick with my original dates for going to L.A.

I'm a beleiver of fate. It's just not in the cards for me this time to see him at that particular stretch of concrete. On top of everything else going against my better judgement of changing the dates, someone pointed out last night in chat that Heigel (sp?) has quite a fan following herself. It's going to be a circus.

I also saw a few pics of G's other premieres (at the barracades) and my eyes widened in surprise. People, mostly women, were squashed against each other waving countless photos and sharpies at his face. Sorry...I don't want my boobies squished against hard metal for hours just to get a glimpse of him.

I'll take my chances the next week....where MAYBE G will appear with Conan or Craig....

I'd much rather stand in line at Universal or Burbank than to deal with the madhouse that is sure to be on Hollywood Blvd....or Westwood Blvd.

Whatever happens, it'll be good to hook up with an old friend....and touch base with the ocean.

Sorry for all the hoopla I caused earlier about going to the premiere.

I know with me, I've had to change travel arrangements before, after being excited about something, making plans with friends, etc.

You do what's best. I think you'll have a great time!

I wasn't trying to dissuade you from going to the premiere. I would tell anyone that is planning on going to go with low expectations. Premieres are lots of fun if you're already within driving distance and/or going to LA for other reasons (i.e. another event, vacation, etc). But to spend that much money to stand for just a glimpse and a possible quick picture or autograph before they're escorted inside? It's a crap shoot at best.

I might consider swinging the LAC premiere next spring, if it's held in Philly because I've wanted to visit Philly for a while now. Plus I've gotten to know a few Philly people thru Twitter. Plus I'd rather see Jamie Foxx than Katherine Heigl. Wink

Oh, I didn't think that at all.......I know you weren't trying to dissuade me. It's just a combination of factors.

I love G...but I think it's dumb to change dates just to stand in the sweltering L.A. heat when I could be at Gladstones on the beach drinking Pina Coladas with a gentleman friend. Or going to the Farmers Market. Or sleeping in at a nice hotel....entangled in the sheets with....

Ahem...sorry...got carried away....
