Where was Gerard Butler on Wednesday night? The Hollywood hottie was living it up at the racecourse, not watching the horses (for they had gone
to sleep) but catching up with the glam girls.

Actually, the girls were gushing over him, almost swooning in his presence. No, Priyanka Chopra wasn’t there – otherwise Gerard would have had eyes only for the Bollywood babe.

It was bar night with a steady stream of party people walking across the white-pebbled courtyard and helping themselves to martinis and other cocktails or chilling out with a drink as they glanced up at the IPL action on the big screen.

Meanwhile inside, DJ Sandy and percussionist Jonqui were pepping up the proceedings with their pulsating beats – a mix of lounge and electronic tunes that made you feel real upbeat. Happy host A D Singh, in a summery white shirt, welcomed the merry mix of expatriates, industrialists, actors, models and more. While Gerard (also dressed in a summery white shirt, teamed with blue jeans) was the focus of attention, there was another Hollywood presence with music director Anthony Mandler (known for his work with singer Rihanna) deciding to step in for a slice of the action. All eyes were also on the other guests who sauntered in at their own sweet time.

There was the fashionable couple Avanti and Yash Birla (in a sleeveless shirt), Gautam Singhania and Raja Dhody, both sporting red tees, Deveika and Suresh Bhojwani, Ashwin Deo who chatted with Narendra Kumar, the dusky Vipasha Aggarwal and other glam girls like Shruti Sharma in a sunshiny orange top, Karishma Tanna, Monikangana Dutta and Priya Reddy. It turned out to be a winning night even though Mumbai Indians lost.
