Ideas for movie chats

Subject: Ideas for movie chats Sat Apr 25, 2009 12:20 pm

If anyone has any ideas about what they'd like to see, please post them.

I know a lot of the members on Steve's forum are Europeans, so they've suggested maybe doing a chat one weekend earlier in the day, so they can be a part of it as well. We could schedule something like noonish our time, or early afternoon so they can take part in it too.

Of course I don't want this to become a Steve chat channel, either. Laughing

How about a Fassy film next? A little Stelios or Harry would be the ticket. Or even "Hunger" although I'd be crying like a loon.

Hunger would be a good one to watch, if you want to do a Fass movie.

DK, if you want a SB movie night, I'm all for doing it earlier for the fans on the other side of the pond.

Hunger would be a good one. I don't have the movie, but if I did I could convert the file for broadcast.

I suppose we'd need to do a content warning first.

Darn, they took it off of megavideo.com for obvious reasons, but I downloaded a while ago. Waiting for the dvd to be released later. Might have to do another movie.

These are all good suggestions. I do have to be able to get the files broadcast worthy (i.e. converted, downloaded, etc.) before they will work, and seeing as how "Eden Lake" is the first one to fall under this category, do we want to shoot for that one this next time?

I'd be curious to see it myself, in fact. It looks downright scary. Alice, I'm assuming you've seen it?

What time, day, etc. do we want? Do we want to go for the same as last time, or something different?

Heck, I'm ready to show it tonight if y'all want. Wink

I just ordered two Masterpiece Theater specials: Wuthering Heights and Oliver Twist. Both have Tom Hardy. I also ordered a movie called "Darblitz" which also supposedly has a full frontal of Tom Hardy. I've never seen this movie, but it was only $5. Laughing

As soon as the movies are mailed to me, I'm going to see if I can convert Wuthering Heights.

In the meantime, I guess I should get something ready for this weekend. Smile

BTW, I went to the video rental place yesterday but couldn't find the movies y'all are wanting. If someone has/knows how to get it on line, please post here. It's not that I'm ignoring requests, but I have to be able to broadcast them.

Well, since we did Steve the first week and Michael the second week, I'm thinking Rocknrolla this week. It has Tom and that one guy, what's his name...Gerald, or somebody? geek

Oh, and I fixed the problem with the choppiness the past two movies. It was simply a matter of me adjusting the bandwidth.

I checked "The Devil's Whore" and I'm missing some of it...so I can't do that one yet. I'm working on "Hunger" though...though I think we need something a little lighter this week, after Eden Lake.
