Watchmen Pirated

When Watchmen hits theaters in a little over 2 weeks, fans of the graphic novel will notice something missing: the pirate story 'Marooned' that a kid is reading throughout in the graphic novel.

The story has nothing to do with the main narrative per se. But it is an important part of the overall Watchmen experience and, come March 24, you'll be able to enjoy it when the DVD and Blu-ray animated film Tales of the Black Freighter is released.

Gerard Butler (star of 300) provides the voice of the main character.

Donna, if the movie is coming out in the next 3 weeks or so, why haven't I seen a lot of publicity on TV and on the Internet to promote the site? I have seen a couple of TV commercials, but still.....

Alice, I wasn't implying that anything was pirated. That was just the name of the article that I linked.

Remi, I don't know why it isn't being publicized more. It's my understanding that Gerry's voice-over is only going to be on the DVD version, and not the actual movie that's going to be shown in the theaters.

I'm not really familiar with Watchmen, so maybe someone else who is could shed some better light on it.

I'm thinking they don't need to promote this - it has a built in fanbase that is going to make sure this flies off the shelves instantly.
